Presbyterian Collects Road Win Over Tennessee Tech

COOKEVILLE, Tenn.  – Behind two doubles and four singles wins the Presbyterian Blue Hose (5-4) beat the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles (0-5), 5-2, on the road on Sunday afternoon.   
 
DOUBLES
Presbyterian wins at number three and one doubles claiming the doubles point for the fifth time this season. Tennessee Tech won at number two doubles. At number three doubles, Presbyterian's Evgenios Vasilakis and Pedro Cardoso posted a 6-4 win. The Blue Hose clinched the doubles point with a 6-4 win by Javier Matos and Denim Yadav at number one doubles.  
 
SINGLES
The Blue Hose won four singles matches to claim the overall victory. Tennessee Tech tied the score at one with a win at number two singles. At number three singles, Vasilakis recorded his first career win with a 6-4, 6-4 victory. Cardoso collected his team-leading sixth win with a 6-3, 6-4 decision at number six singles. With a win at number five singles, Tennessee Tech cut Presbyterian's lead in half, 3-2. Matos recorded his fifth win of the season with a 6-4, 6-4 win at number one singles. Mamalat posted his team-leading sixth win with a hard-fought three sets win, 6-3, 2-6, 6-3, at number four singles.
