CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College Blue Hose baseball team (6-5) went 1-1 in today's doubleheader against the St. Bonaventure Bonnies (3-6). After a defensive show out from both sides in the first seven inning game, St. Bonaventure won with a final score of 2-0. The Blue Hose answered with a 12-6 victory in the nine inning long second game.

HOW IT HAPPENED
GAME ONE

Charlie McDaniel started on the mound for Presbyterian. He played for 4.0 innings while allowing no runs and just three hits while throwing five strikeouts.
- The Bonnies scored a run in both the sixth and seventh innings to make the score 2-0.
- Despite letting up two runs, the Blue Hose held opponents to 12 runners left on base.
- Presby was unable to pick up any runs throughout the last few innings, resulting in a 2-0 final score in St. Bonaventure's favor.

GAME TWO
- Â The Bonnies struck first in the top of the first inning when they took a 2-0 lead.

Noah Lebron was the lead off hitter for PC where he picked up their first hit of game two.

Brody Fahr hit a single up the middle on his first at bat before
Joel Dragoo hit an RBI single to left field.
- Not long after,
Evan Cuervo hit a sacrifice fly to send Fahr home and tie up the game at two runs apiece.
- The Blue Hose didn't take long to take the lead in the bottom of the second inning.
Eli Lazio hit a single to left field before
Aaron Hobson reached on an error. Fahr hit an RBI single to right field to give PC a 3-2 lead.

Ryan Becker hit an RBI single to left field to take a two-run lead.

Ryan Ouzts batted next where he hit an RBI single to third base.
- Cuervo finished out the inning by sending Dragoo in for a run to put the Blue Hose up 6-2.
- Presbyterian put up four more runs in the bottom of the third inning behind a double from Lazio, a single from Lebron, Fahr drawing a walk, and Dragoo sent all three of them home with a perfectly placed double down the left field line.
- Cuervo hit his third RBI of the game to give the Blue and Garnet a comfortable 10-2 lead at the end of the third inning.
- PC kept their momentum going in the bottom of the fourth inning. Lazio started off with a single up the middle before Lebron was hit by a pitch, putting runners on first and second. Fahr came up with a big double down the left field line, sending Lebron to third and Lazio in for another run. Dragoo hit a sacrifice fly to put one more on the board before the end of the fourth inning.
- After four scoreless innings, St. Bonaventure scored four runs in the top of the ninth inning, but it wasn't enough to stop the Blue Hose from securing a 12-6 victory in game number two of the day.
