HOW IT HAPPENED
First Quarter – Bryanna Brady won the opening tip before finding
Natalie Herrin in the corner for a three-point bucket. Gardner-Webb answered with a three of their own before the tie was pushed to five points apiece. After two more tied scores, Gardner-Webb hit a corner three to take a 12-9 lead. The Runnin' Bulldogs maintained their lead, ending the first quarter with a score of 17-11.

Second Quarter – Gardner-Webb came out shooting perfectly from beyond the arc and outscored Presbyterian 11-8. This run extended their lead to nine points, making the score 28-19 in favor of GWU. After a time out, the Blue Hose rallied and scored the next 12 points, sparked by a three-point play from Herrin and a three-point shot from Tilda Sjokvist. This surge allowed PC to regain the lead with a score of 31-28. Gardner-Webb didn't stay down for long, scoring the last 11 points before halftime. This gave them an eight-point lead heading into the break, with the score sitting at 39-31 in favor of the Runnin' Bulldogs.

Third Quarter – The Runnin' Bulldogs scored 11 of the first 13 points of the quarter, extending their lead to 17 points, with the score standing at 50-33. After a layup from Sjokvist, Gardner-Webb scored 10 unanswered points to make the score 60-35. The Blue Hose scored seven of the last 10 points to finish out the third quarter trailing 63-42.

Fourth Quarter – As the final quarter of play began, both teams traded baskets, with each team scoring six points. The point differential remained the same, pushing the score to 69-48. Gardner-Webb scored 10 of the next 17 points, putting the score at 79-55 with 2:26 left on the clock. The game ended with a final score of 86-57.

- The team shot 56 percent from the field in the first half, and ended with 46.9 percent.
