LAST TIME OUT
The Blue Hose fell to the Gardner-Webb Runnin' Bulldogs earlier in the week. In this game Bryanna Brady and Tilda Sjokvist led the team with 11 points each. The team totaled 38 points in the paint and 22 bench points, but unfortunately weren't able to pull of the win.

SCOUTING THE HIGH LANDERS
Radford has a 7-2 Big South Conference Record with wins over High Point, Longwood, Winthrop, Gardner-Webb, Asheville, USC Upstate, and Presbyterian. The Highlanders have averaged 58.5 points per game and 35.8 rebounds per game. Sophomore guard Ashlyn Traylor-Walker leads the team with 16.4 ppg, 4.3 defensive rebounds per game, 0.7 blocks per game, 1.6 steals per game and 2.7 apg. Graduate student forward Taniya Hanner leads the team with 6.7 rpg and 3.2 offensive rebounds per game. She also averages 10.3 ppg, 0.7 blocks per game, and has shot 46.3 percent from the field.

BLUE HOSE DOUBLE FIGURE SCORERS
Over their first 24 games, Presbyterian has had nine different players who have scored in double-figures. Brady (17 times), Sjökvist (16 times), Neira (11 times), Herrin (four times), Kierscht (three times), Cunill (three times), Kindseth (twice), Kline (twice), and Carrillo (once) have all tallied double-digit scoring games this season.
 
PRESBYTERIAN – RADFORD SERIES
Saturday marks the 37th time that these two teams have met since Presbyterian joined Division I in 2007. Their first game was in the 2007-08 season where Radford won 70-49. Last season, PC beat Radford 78-65 early into conference play before Radford beat them later in the regular season 71-50. The last time that these two teams faced off was earlier this season, where Radford won 65-40. Radford leads the all-time series between the two teams 27-9.
 
BIG SOUTH STAT LEADERS
As a team, Presbyterian leads the conference with 13.5 assists per game, a 0.8 assist to turnover ratio, and a +2.7-rebounding margin. Individually, the Blue Hose have three players who are ranked in the top 10 for scoring, Neira is in tenth with 11.7 ppg, Sjokvist is ranked eighth for her 11.9 ppg, and Brady is listed at seventh with 12.3 ppg. Sjokvist is also ranked third for averaging 3.4 apg. Neira is placed second in the league for averaging 2.3 three-point field goals per game.

THE 1000 POINT CLUB
On Wednesday, January 10 Presbyterian beat the Winthrop Eagles with a score of 59-43. With 2:05 left in this game junior Mara Neira scored a three-point shot which was the 1000th point of her collegiate career. Later in the season the Blue Hose hosted the High Point Panthers for the team's breast cancer awareness game. Sixth year center Bryanna Brady scored her 1000th career point with 2:45 left in the game.

BIG SOUTH WEEKLY AWARDS
Presbyterian beat the Columbia College Koalas 62-53 on Sunday, December 31. Brady scored a new season-high of 27 points while shooting 73.3% (11-of-15) from the field. She also shot 62.5% (5-of-8) from the free throw line and dished out two assists. Defensively, Brady helped the team hold the Koalas to no points for almost 11 minutes in the second half. She added four rebounds and a block to her efforts. This is the second time that Brady earned this award and the fourth Big South Player of the Week award that the Blue Hose have received so far this season.
