Four Presbyterian players scored in double-figures but the Blue Hose lost to the USC Upstate Spartans, 74-72, on a buzzer-beater on the road on Wednesday evening. Freshman guard Kory Mincy, who knocked down a game-tying three with 10 seconds on the clock, led all scorers with 17 points. Junior guard Samage Teel scored 14 points. Reddish-Rhone recorded a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Júnior guard Marquis Barnett scored 11 points and grabbed four rebounds. Junior forward Jonah Pierce scored eight points and grabbed eight rebounds.
 
BLUE HOSE BY THE NUMBER – Barnett leads the team in scoring averaging 15.0 points per game while grabbing 4.5 rebounds and distributing 2.6 assists per game. Barnett leads the Big South and ranks 59th in the nation in steals per game averaging 1.9 steals per contest with 58 steals. Teel is second on the team in scoring averaging 13.0 points per game while dishing out 2.6 assists per game. Teel has connected on a team-leading 49 three-point field goals. Pierce leads the team in rebounding averaging 5.0 boards per game while averaging 7.5 points per game. Senior guard Kobe Stewart is third on the team in rebounding at 4.6 boards per game. Stewart chips in with 7.8 points per game while connecting on 30 threes. Junior guard Jamahri Harvey averages 8.2 points while connecting on 19 three-point field goals. James has connected on 28 three-point field goals. Mincy has knocked down 26 three-point field goals this season while averaging 6.0 points per game. Junior forward Kaleb Scott averages 7.2 points and 4.7 rebounds per game, which ranks him second in the team in boards per game. Reddish-Rhone averages 4.4 boards per game while averaging 6.9 points per game. Freshman guard Carl Parrish is one of seven PC players who have connected on double-figure three-point field goals with 14 made threes. As a team, PC is averaging 75.3 points per game. Presbyterian ranks 29th in the nation in bench points averaging 27.8 points per game from the bench and 46th in the nation averaging 12.9 fastbreak points per game
 
BIG SOUTH LEADER IN FIELD GOAL PERCENTAGE - Presbyterian leads the Big South Conference and ranks 35th in the nation in field goal percentage shooting 47.7 percent (816-of-1712) from the field. This season, Presbyterian has had 12 games shooting 50 percent or higher from the field. The Blue Hose shot a season-high 69.8 percent from the field in a win over Mid-Atlantic Christian on December 13. The Blue Hose shot 52.5 percent from the field in the win at Winthrop (February 21).
 
BLUE HOSE DOUBLE-FIGURE SCORERS - Presbyterian has had ten different players score in double-figures this season. Barnett (25 times), Teel (23 times), Stewart (ten times), Reddish-Rhone (ten times), Harvey (nine times), Scott (nine times), Pierce (eight times), Mincy (six times), James (five times), and Parrish (twice) have all recorded double-digit scoring games this season.
 
PC COACH QUINTON FERRELL - Quinton Ferrell is in his fifth season as the head coach of his alma mater, Presbyterian College. Ferrell, a former Blue Hose team captain and a 2007 PC graduate, is one of 50 coaches in the NCAA Division I ranks who are coaching their alma maters.
 
PRESBYTERIAN – CHARLESTON SOUTHERN SERIES
Saturday's game will be the 39th meeting between Presbyterian and Charleston Southern, who leads the series 27-11. Presbyterian has won three of the previous five games between the two teams including a 68-61 victory at Charleston Southern earlier this season on January 3. Barnett, Teel, and Harvey all score 10 points apiece in the win.  
 
SCOUTING CHARLESTON SOUTHERN
The Buccaneers under the direction of former CSU standout interim head coach Saah Nimley, CSU has won two of their last three games with a road win at USC Upstate and most recently a home win over Radford. Redshirt sophomore guard RJ Johnson leads four CSU double-figure scorers averaging 15.5 points per game. Junior forward Taje Kelly averages 14 points and a team-leading 7.6 rebounds per game.
