Blue Hose Begin Spring at Victor Ice Breaker Duals

The Presbyterian College men's and women's cross-country teams open their spring season on Saturday at the Victor Ice Breaker Duals hosted by Berry College. The Blue Hose will wear pink uniforms for the first time in celebration of the first weekend of Women's History Month.

About the Meet
• The Blue Hose have 16 runners traveling to compete at Berry on Saturday
• On the men's side, the Blue Hose have William Johnson, Noah Kaufman, James Marler, Spencer Wieters, Nizeyimana Aristide, Gabe Butler, Samuel Wall, James Crim and Kevin Lagat. Keyli Gomez, Abby Donaldson, Caroline Rairigh, Eliana Watson, Savannah Watson, Isabel Whitman, and Habana Rubio will compete for the women's team on Saturday.
 • The teams competing at Berry include Berry, Covenant, Defiance, Columbus State, Montevallo, Berea, Maryville, Auburn-Montgomery, Truett-McConnell, Shorter, Asbury, Wesleyan, North Georgia, GCSU, Point, Presbyterian, Dalton State, Clayton State.  
 
Spring Slate
• This weekend's event at Berry is the first of five spring events that PC will compete in over the next two months.
• PC returns to the track on March 16 for the Trojan Opener hosted by Anderson University before heading to the Newberry Hub City Invite on April 5 and the Electric City Invite on April 13.
• The spring slate wraps up on April 27 with the App State Open in Boone, N.C.

Notables
* Gomez will debut both her first and PC's first women's Outdoor 10,000 meter in Division I school history.
* Kaufman will be running his first Outdoor 5,000m of his career.
* This will be the first competition for Crim, Butler, and Rubio.
* Rubio and Crim will run the first 100m races in the school's Division I era.
* Johnson will be racing the 1500m and 800m again after taking down the school records in both last Spring.
* Whitman is back to beat her 800m school record from the final meet last spring and she is running the first 200m of PC Women's Division I history.
* This will be the first collegiate track meet for Blue Hose freshmen Savanna Watson, Donaldson, and Noah Kaufman.
