In a game that came down to the wire, the Presbyterian Blue Hose lost to the Gardner-Webb Runnin' Bulldogs, 61-60, in the quarterfinals of the Big South Conference Tournament. Senior guard Trevon Reddish-Rhone, who made his first eight field goal attempts, finished the game with 18 points. Junior guard Samage Teel scored 12 points, dished out seven assists, and grabbed six rebounds. Senior guard Kobe Stewart scored 11 points. Junior forward Kaleb Scott scored nine points and grabbed nine rebounds.
 
BLUE HOSE BY THE NUMBER – Junior guard Marquis Barnett leads the team in scoring averaging 14.5 points per game while grabbing 4.5 rebounds and distributing 2.6 assists per game. Barnett leads the Big South and ranks 57th in the nation in steals per game averaging 1.9 steals per contest with 58 steals. Teel is second on the team in scoring averaging 13.2 points per game while dishing out 2.7 assists per game. Teel has connected on a team-leading 51 three-point field goals. Junior forward Jonah Pierce leads the team in rebounding averaging 4.9 boards per game while averaging 7.2 points per game. Stewart is third on the team in rebounding at 4.6 boards per game. Stewart chips in with 8.1 points per game while connecting on 32 threes. Junior guard Jamahri Harvey averages 7.9 points while connecting on 20 three-point field goals. Senior guard Crosby James has connected on 29 three-point field goals. Freshman guard Kory Mincy has knocked down 27 three-point field goals this season while averaging 6.0 points per game. Scott averages 7.1 points and 4.8 rebounds per game, which ranks him second in the team in boards per game. Reddish-Rhone averages 4.3 boards per game while averaging 7.5 points per game. Freshman guard Carl Parrish is one of seven PC players who have connected on double-figure three-point field goals with 14 made threes. As a team, PC is averaging 74.7 points per game. Presbyterian ranks 29th in the nation in bench points averaging 26.8 points per game from the bench and 48th in the nation averaging 12.9 fastbreak points per game.
 
POSTSEASON PLAY - After accepting a bid to the College Basketball Invitational (CBI), Presbyterian is making the program's second postseason tournament appearance during the Division I era. In 2019, Presbyterian won two games in the CollegeInsider.com Tournament (CIT).
 
ALL-BIG SOUTH HONORS - Junior guard Marquis Barnett was named Second Team All-Big South. Freshman guard Kory Mincy was a Big South All-Freshman team selection. Senior guard Trevon Reddish-Rhone earned Big South All-Academic Team honors.

BIG SOUTH LEADER IN FIELD GOAL PERCENTAGE - Presbyterian leads the Big South Conference and ranks 46th in the nation in field goal percentage shooting 47.3 percent (866-1831) from the field. This season, Presbyterian has had 12 games shooting 50 percent or higher from the field. The Blue Hose shot a season-high 69.8 percent from the field in a win over Mid-Atlantic Christian on December 13. The Blue Hose shot 52.5 percent from the field in the win at Winthrop (February 21).
 
PC COACH QUINTON FERRELL - Quinton Ferrell is in his fifth season as the head coach of his alma mater, Presbyterian College. Ferrell, a former Blue Hose team captain and a 2007 PC graduate, is one of 50 coaches in the NCAA Division I ranks who are coaching their alma maters.

The Grizzlies lost to Montana State, 85-70, in the Championship game of the Big Sky Tournament on March 13. Guard Aanen Moody, who leads the Grizzlies in scoring at 16.7 points per game, was a First Team All-Big Sky selection. Forward Dischon Thomas, who averages 12.1 points and 5.5 rebounds per game, earned Second Team All-Big Sky honors. Montana averages 77.2 points and 34.0 rebounds per game. The Grizzlies opponents average 71.5 points per game.
