BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – The Presbyterian College Blue Hose baseball team (13-14, BSC: 4-1) took down the Gardner-Webb Runnin' Bulldogs (8-17, BSC: 1-7) while holding their opponent to just one run.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Four PC batters drew walks to load the bases in the top of the first inning and give the Blue Hose the first run of the day.
Ryan Becker was then hit by a pitch to advance runners around the diamond and make the score 2-0 for Presbyterian. With the bases still loaded,
Aaron Hobson reached first base on a fielder's choice before a Gardner-Webb error brought in two more runs for the Blue Hose.

Joel Dragoo hit a single up the middle in the top of the fourth inning before
Rhogue Wallace drew a walk. Dragoo advanced to third on a wild pitch followed by a stolen base from Wallace. With two runners on,
Noah Lebron ripped a two RBI single to right field which brought the Blue Hose's lead up to a score of 6-0 after four innings.
- After no scores from either side over the next three innings, the Blue Hose put one more on the board in the top of the eighth when
Brody Fahr doubled down the right field line to bring
Eli Lazio in for a run.
- Gardner-Webb scored their first run of the day in the bottom of the eighth inning, making the score 7-1.
- With the Runnin' Bulldogs unable to bring home any more runs, the Blue Hose secured game two of the conference series with a 7-1 victory over Gardner-Webb.
