TOURNAMENT DETAILS
The tournament kicks off on Sunday, April 14th, with a practice round beginning sharply at 8:30 a.m. The first round follows later in the day, starting at 1:30 p.m. The second round is set for Monday, with tee times ranging from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m., contingent on the seeding after day one. On Tuesday, the third round commences, following the same format as the previous day based on the 36-hole seedings.
After the intense 54-hole competition spanning three days, the top four teams will progress to the semifinals on Wednesday, April 17th. The matchups will start with the No. 1 versus No. 4 seeds at 8:00 a.m. on hole one, followed by the No. 2 versus No. 3 seeds at hole 10 at 8:05 a.m. The winners will then clash in the championship round later that day, beginning at 1:30 p.m.
The 2024 Match Play champion will secure the Big South's automatic berth to the NCAA Regionals.
LAST TIME OUT
- The Blue Hose finished tied for fifth place at the Mimosa Hills Intercollegiate after a three-round score of 942 (+78).
- Freshman
Maddie Peake hit for birdie once and for par 12 times in the third round to finish in 13th place with a three-round score of 232 (+16).
- Western Carolina earned the tournament title with their three-round score of 897 (+33). - Western Carolina's Elizabeth Lohbauer finished at the top of the individual leaderboard with her three-round score of 218 (+2).
