BOONE, N.C. – The Presbyterian Blue Hose Cross Country/Track teams wrapped up their spring season at the App State Open on Saturday in Boone, North Carolina. Presbyterian walked away with two new school records and three personal records.
For the men's squad, senior
William Johnson wrapped up his career with a school record in the mile with a time of 4:33.42. Also in the mile was
JJ Bartlett with a time of 5:29.29.
Nizeyimana Aristide broke his previous school record in the 200-meter with a time of 23.47. In the 400-meter, Gabe Butler ran a personal record time of 52.47. Also in the 400-meter race were Aristide and
Samuel Wall who ran times of 54.28 and 55.82, respectively. Johnson also competed in the 800-meter race with a final time of 1:56.22. Bartlett competed in the mile as well, running a time of 2:26.34.
Noah Kaufman ran in the 5000-meter race, posting a time of 17:27.95.
James Crim ran the 100-meter with a time of 11.81.
For the women's team,
Abby Donaldson ran the mile race with a new personal record of 6:03.07. Senior
Keyli Gomez finished out her collegiate career in the mile event with a final time of 6:12.02. Habana Rubio competed in the 100-meter race with a time of 13.72. Donaldson and Gomez also ran in the 800-meter race, with times of 2:51.84 and 2:54.78, respectively. Joining them in the same event,
Caroline Rairigh and
Isabel Whitman posted times of 2:38.39 and 2:34.73. Gomez also ran in the 5000-meter race, posting a time of 20:35.55.
