Presbyterian Faces Queens on the Road

The Presbyterian Blue Hose continue their stretch of four straight road games in Charlotte, North Carolina against Queens on Monday evening.

LAST TIME OUT
In their first road game of the season, Presbyterian tied ETSU, 1-1, this past Thursday. Senior midfielder Carson Griffith scored the game-tying goal, his second goal of the season, in the 80th minute. Presbyterian finished the game with a 17-12 advantage in shots. Blue Hose junior goalkeeper Loan Marin collected four saves in the game.
 
BLUE HOSE BY THE NUMBERS
  • Griffith and freshman midfielder Herman Furumo are tied for the team lead with two goals apiece. Eight different Presbyterian players have scored a goal this season.
  • Sophomore midfielder Sandro Rabarivony, who is one of the Blue Hose's eight goal scorers, leads the team with eight shots.
  • The Blue Hose defense anchored by Marin and defenders seniors Reudd Manin and Damian McGregor-Wickham and redshirt sophomores Eric Allen and Bryce Burdette have only allowed one goal in 135 minutes of action this season.

NOTABLES
  • For the 12th time in the program's history, the Blue Hose started the season at home.
  • In the 9-0 win over Erskine on August 24, Presbyterian set Division I era school records for goals with nine, assists with seven, and points with 25.

PRESBYTERIAN – QUEENS SERIES
Monday's game marks the first meeting between the two teams with both programs in Division I. Queens defeated Presbyterian, 2-1, in their last meeting which came at home on September 23, 2003.  
 
SCOUTING QUEENS
In their season-opening game, the Royals lost to Wofford, 2-1, at home this past Thursday. Senior defender Samuel Idinge scored Queens' goal in the Wofford game. Last season, Queens went 5-10-2. Queens coach Oliver Carias is in his 14th season as the Royals head coach.
