LAST TIME OUT – Presbyterian battled to the end before coming up short with a 76-67 road loss at Winthrop this past Wednesday. Kory Mincy scored 20 points to lead the Blue Hose. Kobe Stewart recorded a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Carl Parrish scored 13 points off the bench. Jaylen Peterson collected a team season-high six blocked shots.
 
BLUE HOSE BY THE NUMBERS – Presbyterian averages 75.1 points per game and 34.6 rebounds. The Blue Hose are shooting 47.0 percent from the field and 37.1 percent from beyond the three-point arc. Stewart and Mincy are tied for the team lead in scoring at 14.7 points per game. Stewart grabs 5.0 rebounds per contest. Mincy leads the team in assists at 4.1 assists per game while dishing out 95 assists this season. Peterson leads the team in rebounding averaging 6.4 boards per game. Peterson leads the Big South in blocked shots with 36, averaging 1.6 blocks per game. Kaleb Scott is second on the team in rebounding grabbing 5.3 boards per game while scoring 8.1 points per game. Jamahri Harvey, who has connected on 40 three-point field goals, averages 8.0 points per game. Parrish is fifth on the team, scoring 7.3 points per game.
 
TWO-TIME BIG SOUTH FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK - Iverson King has earned the Big South Freshman of the Week award for two straight weeks (January 20, January 27). King is the eleventh player in the program's history to earn the Big South Freshman of the Week award and the seventh player to earn multiple Big South Freshman of the Week awards. He earned his first award after scoring 13 points while shooting 8-for-9 from the free throw line, grabbing three rebounds, and recording three steals at High Point (January 18). He claimed his second award after averaging 9.5 points and 6.5 rebounds while shooting 50 percent from the field in Presbyterian's two games that week.
 
BIG SOUTH PLAYERS OF THE WEEK - Mincy and Stewart have captured the Big South Player of the Week awards this season. Mincy and Stewart are the 10th and 11th players in the program's history named Big South Players of the Week. Mincy was named Big South Co-Player of the Week on November 11. Mincy earned the award after averaging 18.7 points and eight assists in Presbyterian's home game against Carolina Christian and road games at Charlotte and NC State. Stewart was named Big South Player of the Week on January 27 after averaging 22 points, four rebounds, and three assists in Presbyterian's two games while shooting 70.8 percent from the field and 60 percent from beyond the three-point arc.
 
THREE-POINT FIELD GOAL PERCENTAGE - Presbyterian leads the Big South and ranks 47th in the NCAA in three-point field goal percentage at 37.5 percent (177-477). Presbyterian has had 11 games this season shooting over 40 percent from beyond the three-point arc which includes a season best 50 percent (9-18) in the win over Wofford on Nov. 13, at South Carolina (5-10) on Dec. 30 and at home against UNC Asheville (11-22) on Jan. 11.
 
1,000 CAREER POINTS - Jonah Pierce recorded his 1,000th point in his college career with a basket with six seconds left in the Charlotte game  (November 4). Pierce went over the 1,000 points mark in impressive fashion scoring 22 points (shooting a perfect 11-for-11 from the field) in the game.
 
Stewart went over the 1,000 points mark in his Presbyterian career also in dramatic fashion after needing one point to reach 1,000, he scored a career-high 28 points against Radford (January 25). He scored his 1,000th point with a jumper in the lane at the 15:55 mark of the first half.
 
FIELD GOAL PERCENTAGE - Presbyterian has had seven games this season shooting at least 50 percent from the field. The Blue Hose are currently third in the Big South and 75th in the nation in field goal percentage at 47.0 percent (624-1328). The Blue Hose picked up right where they left off last season shooting 56.1 percent (32-57) from the field at Charlotte on November 4.  PC shot 62.3 percent (43-69) from the field in the win over Carolina Christian on Nov. 6. The Blue Hose shot 58.7 percent (37-63) from the field in the win over Columbia College on Dec. 11. Presbyterian shot 64.2 percent (43-67) in the win over Virginia Lynchburg (Dec. 18). PC shot 59.2 percent (29-49) against UNC Asheville (Jan. 11). The Blue Hose shot 55.6 percent (30-54) in the win over Charleston Southern (Jan. 22). Last season, Presbyterian had 12 games shooting 50 percent or higher from the field while leading the Big South in field goal percentage at 47.2 percent.
 
AXE'EM CLASSIC TITLE – The Blue Hose won the Axe'Em Classic title at Stephen F. Austin, November 21-23 with wins over Stephen F. Austin, Youngstown State, and Monmouth. Stewart was named MVP of the Axe'Em Classic. This was the fourth straight season that the Blue Hose played in a tournament in November. The Axe'Em Classic was the 13th regular-season tournament PC has played in since moving to Division I in 2007-08. 
 
PC COACH QUINTON FERRELL - Quinton Ferrell is in his sixth season as the head coach of his alma mater, Presbyterian College. Ferrell, a former Blue Hose team captain and a 2007 PC graduate, is one of 50 coaches in the NCAA Division I ranks who are coaching their alma maters.
 
PRESBYTERIAN-HIGH POINT SERIES  - Saturday's game will be the 38th meeting between Presbyterian and High Point, who leads the series, 26-11. High Point beat PC, 77-66, in their first matchup this season at home on January 18. Mincy led four PC double-figure scorers with 18 points. The last time the two teams played at PC, High Point defeated PC in a tightly contested game, 86-83, on January 17, 2024.

HIGH POINT – The Panthers have won five of their last six games including three straight. High Point averages 80.7 points while limiting their opponents to 67.8 points. Guard D'Maurian Williams leads three Panthers double-figure scorers at 14.5 points per contest. Forward Juslin Bodo Bodo leads the team in rebounding at 8.2 boards per game.
