CLINTON, S.C.  – Behind another strong defensive performance and a penalty kick goal from

THOUGHTS FROM COACH FINOTTI
"Big South wins are always good. We will celebrate every win, especially at home, especially in a conference game. We knew what was at stake here. We know what's going on in the Big South right now, and this result puts us in a good spot, moving forward with three conference games left. I'm super proud of the guys. Since the humbling result with Gardner Webb, we've been very good."
HOW IT HAPPENED
In the 33
rd minute, Presbyterian's
Iragi Kalala was fouled in the box by a Winthrop defender, which led to the penalty kick. Cordova calmly blasted the ball into the back of the net for what proved to be the game-winning goal. The goal was the third of the season for Cordova.
