CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College volleyball team concluded the 2025 season with a road defeat at Charleston Southern on Friday night (Nov. 14), falling to the Buccaneers 15-25, 20-25, 13-25.
Anisa Dorlouis logged her 20th double-double of the season for PC, finishing the night with a match-high 22 assists and 13 digs. Courtney Williams led the Blue Hose offensively and defensively, recording 9 kills to go along with three blocks.
Friday evening's match against Charleston Southern was the final contest of the season for Presbyterian.
SET ONE – CHARLESTON SOUTHERN 25, PC 15
- The Buccaneers got off to a fast start to open the match, jumping out to a 5-1 lead over PC. An attack error by Charleston Southern and a kill from Anisa Dorlouis got the Blue Hose settled into the match, but the Buccaneers still led 10-4 early.
- Presbyterian cut the deficit to 12-8 behind a service ace from Elyse Hutchinson and a kill from Brittney Daphnis. However, Charleston Southern responded to separate from PC, grabbing an 18-8 advantage.
- PC was able to cut the lead to eight late in the set but was unable to get closer. Charleston Southern won the opening frame 25-15 to take an early lead.
SET TWO – CHARLESTON SOUTHERN 25, PC 20
- The Blue Hose took the first three points of the second frame highlighted by a block assist from Courtney Williams and Hutchinson. Presbyterian grew its lead to 10-5 after an attack error and a kill from Daphnis.
- In the middle of the set, the Buccaneers flipped the momentum, tying the set at 14 before rallying to take a 17-14 lead. However, two kills by Dorlouis helped the Blue Hose get back within one down 19-18 late in the set.
- An attack error helped PC tie the set at 20, but the Blue Hose did not record another point the rest of the set. Charleston Southern closed the second frame on a 5-0 run to grab a 2-0 lead over PC.
SET THREE – CHARLESTON SOUTHERN 25, PC 13
- Presbyterian stayed with Charleston Southern early in the third set, trailing by just one after a kill from Hutchinson. PC trailed just 6-5 before the Buccaneers opened up a large lead.
- Charleston Southern went up 14-8 and maintained a five point lead in the middle of the set, leading 15-10.
- The Blue Hose cut the Buccaneer lead to 16-12 following a kill from Williams before Charleston Southern went on a big run to finish the match. Charleston Southern finished the third on a 9-1 run to claim the match in three sets.
