LAST TIME OUT
After Presbyterian took its season opener 113-45 against Warren Wilson, the Blue Hose come into Monday having lost three straight games. In PC's last outing, the Blue Hose battled to the end at home against UNC Greensboro but came up short, losing 57-53. Aminata Tal and Ja'Cia Cunningham led the scoring for PC with each tallying 12. Morgan Boyd had a career-day on the glass, grabbing a career-high 14 rebounds. Samantha Mullock also recorded nine rebounds for the Blue Hose. For the game, PC outrebounded the Spartans 37-33.
BLUE HOSE BY THE NUMBERS
Ja'Cia Cunningham paces the Blue Hose in scoring, averaging 10.5 points per game to lead PC. She has been hot from the three point line to start the year, making 5-of-10 of her threes. Allie Sykes has been very efficient on the offensive end for PC, shooting 46.2 percent from the field and 45.5 percent from three. She leads Presbyterian in made three pointers with 10. Aminata Tal and Sykes are also averaging at least nine points per game at 9.3 and 9.0 respectively.
Morgan Boyd leads the Blue Hose in rebounding, averaging 5.8 per game. Aretha Linger is second on the team in points and rebounds in two games played, averaging 9.5 points and 5.5 rebounds per game. Daniella Velez leads Presbyterian in assists to begin the season with 12. She also has only recorded three turnovers so far this year.
Ore Ogunwolere and Tal lead the team in steals with each posting seven. Three Blue Hose have recorded two blocked shots to start the year.
SCOUTING THE FLYING FLEET
Monday's contest will be an exhibition game for Erskine. The Flying Fleet have not played an official game so far this season. Last year, Erskine finished with a 5-21 record and a 3-17 mark in Conference Carolinas.
PRESBYTERIAN – ERSKINE ALL-TIME SERIES
The Blue Hose control the all-time series with Erskine, leading 16-2. PC has won both of the last two meetings with the last matchup coming in 2010. Erskine's most recent victory over PC came in 2004. Albany Wilson led the Flying Fleet in scoring and rebounding last year, averaging 13.1 points and 5.5 rebounds per game.
NEWCOMERS FOR THE BLUE HOSE
Joining the Blue Hose this season are nine newcomers (four transfers and five freshmen). The transfers for Coach Sardin are Ore Ogunwolere, Ja'Cia Cunningham, Krystal Haddock, and Laetitia Kamdoum.
Freshmen Aretha Linger, Yolanda Floyd, Allie Sykes, Samantha Mullock, and Amani Williams also join the Blue Hose. This is the most freshmen the Blue Hose have had on the roster since the 2022-23 season (also five).
RETURNERS
The Blue Hose return four from last year's roster. Seniors Shelby Fiddler (6.6 ppg, 2.1 rpg) and Aminata Tal (6.7 ppg, 2.1 rpg) lead the returners for PC. Sophomores Morgan Boyd (2.4 ppg, 2.1 rpg), and Daniella Velez (2.8 ppg, 2.6 rpg) also are back for the Blue Hose this season.
THE 2025-26 NON-CONFERENCE SLATE
Presbyterian's non-conference lineup includes five home contests and six road games, featuring a notable road matchup against ACC opponent Virginia Tech on Dec. 10. The Blue Hose have remaining trips on the road to UNC Wilmington on Nov. 21, Coastal Carolina on Nov. 24, and Furman on Dec. 3.
PC's remaining home non-conference schedule includes Eastern Kentucky on Dec. 19, and Jacksonville State on Dec. 21.
The Blue Hose will also compete in the FIU Holiday Tournament, facing Seattle on Nov. 28 and then either FIU or UMBC on Nov. 30.
BIG SOUTH SCHEDULE
Conference play begins December 31 for the Blue Hose, with PC set to take on each of its eight Big South opponents twice in a balanced home-and-away schedule.
At Templeton, PC will face Radford on Dec. 31, High Point on Jan. 7, UNC Asheville on Jan. 17, Charleston Southern on Jan. 24, USC Upstate on Feb. 4, Gardner-Webb on Feb. 14, Winthrop on Feb. 18, and Longwood on Feb. 28.
On the road, the Blue Hose will take on Longwood on Jan. 3, USC Upstate on Jan. 14, Gardner-Webb on Jan. 21, Winthrop on Jan. 28, High Point on Jan. 31, Charleston Southern on Feb. 7, UNC Asheville on Feb. 21, and Radford on Feb. 25.
LAST SEASON
The Blue Hose finished with a 6-24 record and a 4-12 mark in the Big South in the first season of head coach Tiffany Sardin. In league play, the Blue Hose picked up back-to-back wins against USC Upstate on Jan. 8 and UNC Asheville on Jan. 11. Later in the season, the Blue Hose delivered a road win at Radford, taking down the Highlanders 78-71. In non-conference action, Presbyterian picked up wins against NC Central and Newberry.
