Women’s Hoops Central: Presbyterian vs Longwood

CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College women's basketball team will host the Longwood Lancers on Saturday, February 15 at 2:00 p.m. Before the game, PC will be honoring their three seniors as a part of senior day. This game will also be honoring Black History Month.

The Blue Hose fell to Charleston Southern earlier this week, despite Paige Kindseth's 17 points and Kishyah Anderson's 16 points.

A LOOK AT THE BLUE HOSE
- Presbyterian has averaged 52.5 ppg while recording a 36.3 field goal percentage.
- Junior guard/forward Kishyah Anderson leads the team with 13.8 ppg while shooting at a Big South leading 44.6 rate from the field.
- Senior guard Paige Kindseth is a not far behind with 10.6 ppg while leading the team with 8.0 rpg (third in the league).
- Junior guard Shelby Fiddler leads the team from beyond the arc, with 31 made three-pointers while shooting at 26.1 percent from range.

KINDSETH KILLIN' IT
Paige Kindseth earned the title of Big South Player of the Week on January 13 after delivering back-to-back standout performances against conference foes the week prior. Across the two games, Kindseth averaged 21 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 2 assists while shooting 48.6 percent from the field (17-of-35) and an outstanding 87.5 percent from the free-throw line (7-of-8). She also contributed four steals and maintained a strong court presence, limiting her turnovers to just one per game.

SCOUTING THE LANCERS
- Longwood has taken a 7-4 Big South record with at least one win over each league opponent with the exception of USC Upstate.
- The Lancers have averaged 70.4 ppg while shooting at 41.8 percent from the field.
- Sophomore guard Amor Harris leads the team offensively with 11.2 ppg while the Lancers boast three players who average at least 10 ppg.
- Sophomore forward Otaifo Esenabhalu leads the team on the board with 8.6 rpg with 214 total rebounds.
- The Lancers are led by third year head coach Erika Lang-Montgomery.
 
THE ALL-TIME SERIES
On Saturday, the Blue Hose and the Lancers will faceoff for the 30th time since Presbyterian joined Division I in 2007. Last season, PC beat Longwood in both of their outings. The Lancers won the matchup earlier this year, but Presbyterian holds the lead in the all-time series between the two teams 18-11.
