Men's Tennis PC Athletic Communications

PC Faces Chattanooga and Campbell at the Templeton Tennis Courts

The Presbyterian Blue Hose (5-5) play the Chattanooga Mocs (6-6) and the Campbell Fighting Camels (2-7) at the Templeton Tennis Courts. First PC plays Chattanooga on Sunday, March 2, at 10 a.m. Then, Presbyterian welcomes Campbell to the Templeton Tennis Courts on Monday, March 3, at 2 p.m.
 
Presbyterian coach Juan Pablo Boada is in his first season at the helm of Presbyterian's men's tennis program.  
 
PC BY THE NUMBERS
This spring, Evgenios Vasilakis leads the team with five wins. David Mamalat and Daksh Prasad have tallied two wins apiece. The doubles team of Pedro Cardoso and Prasad lead the team with five wins. The doubles duo of Mamalat and Vasilakis have tallied four wins.

BIG SOUTH PRESEASON POLL
Presbyterian was picked to finish second in the preseason Big South coaches poll. Gardner-Webb, who won the Big South regular-season title last season, was picked first. After the Blue Hose in the poll was UNC Asheville, the defending Big South tournament champions, who were picked third. Longwood and Radford round out the poll in fourth and fifth place respectively.
 
In Presbyterian's men's tennis program's history, the Blue Hose have captured three Big South regular-season titles (2014, 2017, and 2023) and three Big South Tournament titles (2017, 2021, and 2023).
 
CHATTANOOGA
Presbyterian has won three of the last four meetings against Chattanooga. Last season, Chattanooga beat Presbyterian, 4-3, at home on February 24, 2024. Cardoso and Mamalat tallied singles wins in that match. This season, Chattanooga has wins over Tennessee Tech, EKU, Austin Peay, Coastal Alabama CC – South, Tennessee State, and Georgia Southern. Ryan Mudre has collected a team leading 13 wins. Kristof Kincses is second on the team with 11 wins. 
 
CAMPBELL
The Blue Hose have won two of the last three meetings against Campbell. Last season, Campbell defeated Presbyterian, 6-1, at home on April 6, 2024. This season, Campbell has wins over Mount Olive and North Carolina Central. Luke Tollenaar leads the team with five singles wins. The doubles tandem of Adi Dagan and Alex Fragasso have won a team-high two doubles wins.
