Harner’s and Whitman’s School-Record-Breaking Performances Led PC at the 49er Classic

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Presbyterian College cross-country teams, led by junior Isabel Whitman and freshman David Harner's school-record breaking performances paced the Blue Hose at the 49er Classic.

Notables
Women's Team

Whitman took down a school record in a third event this year. She beat the two-year-old 1500m school record, previously held by Keyli Gomez, by five seconds: 5:08.61. She topped her PR by seven seconds.
Abby Donaldson also had a massive 18-second PR in the 1500m, hitting 5:18.14. The 7th fastest women's 1500m in the school's D1 history.
Whitman hit another 2:25.44 for the 800m. Her second time going sub-2:30.
Donaldson scored another PR in the 800m with a 2:37.43.
Elliana Watson ran a season-best in the 800m at 2:50.28.
Serena Berch opened her first 200m of the season with a time of 30.18.
The first women's 4x800m team in 13 years (consisting of Caroline Rairigh, Abby Donaldson, Eliana Watson, and Isabel Whitman) demolished the prior record with a 10:53.83. The prior record from 2012 was 14:23.88.

Men's Team

Harner broke the 3000m record set three weeks ago by Noah Kaufman. He came in at a time of 9:38.82
Nizeyimana Aristide improved in the 200m from the last two meets with a season-best time of 23.72.
Kaufman set a new PR in the 3000m with a 9:44.61, eight seconds faster than his prior PR.
Gavin Guyton scored another 800m PR with 2:02.91.
Jacob Smith set a new PR in the 3000m with a 10:14.68.
The men's 4x400m finished with a 3:47.61 with Samuel Wall, Aristide, Guyton, and Ethan Trombly at anchor.
James Crim improved in the long jump from the last week with a season-best of 5.84m.
