Blue Hose Rally to Edge Wofford in Thrilling 4-3 Victory

CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College baseball team (7-6) delivered a clutch performance on Tuesday evening, edging out the Wofford Terriers (11-2) with a 4-3 victory at the PC Baseball Complex.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
-  Yechiel Saint set the tone on the mound, keeping the game scoreless through the first four innings.
- The Terriers broke through in the fifth, plating two runs to take the lead. However, the Blue Hose responded immediately. Ryan Becker ripped an RBI double to left-center, followed by an Aaron Hobson bunt single that brought Rhogue Wallace home to tie the game.
- Wofford added another run in the sixth to go up 3-2.
- In the seventh, Hobson reached base after being hit by a pitch. Mikah Conner then capitalized, blasting an RBI triple to right-center to even the score. Moments later, Jake Randolph delivered the go-ahead RBI single, giving the Blue Hose their first lead of the night.
- Sean Hollister shut down Wofford in the seventh and eighth innings before Jacob Fields slammed the door in the ninth, earning his third save of the season.
 
NOTABLES
- Mikah Conner went 2-for-3 with a walk, recording a double and an RBI triple. He now has five extra-base hits this season.
- Ryan Becker's RBI double in the fifth marked his first of the year.
- Yechiel Saint tossed 4.1 innings, striking out four while allowing just one hit and one earned run.
- Jacob Fields earned his third save of the season, striking out two of the three batters he faced in a flawless ninth inning.
