Four Blue Hose Garner All-Big South Accolades

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Four members of the Presbyterian Blue Hose men's tennis team garnered All-Big South Conference accolades, as announced by the league office on Wednesday.

BIG SOUTH HONORS
David Mamalat was a First Team All-Big South Singles selection. Daksh Prasad was named Second Team All-Big South Singles. The doubles team of Eduardo Valentin and Denim Yadav was named Second Team All-Big South Doubles.Yadav was named to the Big South All-Academic team for the second consecutive year.

DAVID MAMALAT
First Team Singles

This season, he has recorded a team-high tying seven singles wins all on court one. During the season, he had a four-match winning streak while collecting a three-set win over All-Big South First Team Singles selection UNC Asheville's Freddy Murray.
 
The Philadelphia, Pennsylvania native was a  Second Team All-Big South Singles and Doubles honoree last season.

DAKSH PRASAD
Second Team Singles

Prasad is tied for the team lead in wins with seven, with the victories coming at number three and four singles. The Gwalior, India native enjoyed a three-match winning streak during the season. He posted a win at number three singles over All-Big South Second Team selection Longwood's Mauricio Gonzalez Paiva.
 
DENIM YADAV
All-Academic Team, Second Team Doubles
Yadav teamed with Valentin for four wins, all at number three doubles. They collected two doubles wins in Big South play with wins over doubles teams from Gardner-Webb and Longwood. Yadav also recorded four singles wins.

Yadav has a 3.91 GPA majoring in Computer Science. He is a two-time member of Presbyterian College's President's and Dean's Lists.  

The Indore, India native was the 2023 Big South Freshman of the Year and a First Team All-Big South Singles and a 2024 First Team All-Big South doubles honoree.

EDUARDO VALENTIN
Second Team Doubles

Valentin teamed with Yadav for four wins, all at number three doubles. They collected two doubles wins in Big South play with wins over doubles teams from Gardner-Webb and Longwood. The Sao Paulo, Brazil native has also recorded four singles wins.
