STATESBORO, Ga. – The Presbyterian Blue Hose (3-2-1) battled the Georgia Southern Eagles (4-0-1) for 90 minutes in a narrow 2-1 loss on the road. Georgia Southern entered the game ranked No. 35 in the RPI. The Blue Hose were the first team this season to score a goal on Georgia Southern.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- In the sixth minute, Georgia Southern scored the game's first goal when Ricky Louis scored off a Mitch Picksley.
- Louis gave Georgia Southern a 2-0 lead when he scored an unassisted goal in the 34th minute.
- In the 55th minute, Presbyterian's Iragi Kalala cut Georgia Southern's lead in half, scoring his first goal of the season on a great individual effort in the box after beating several Eagle defenders. Kalala's goal was the third goal of his career.
