CLINTON, S.C. - Presbyterian College Blue Hose Director of Athletics Dee Nichols has announced the promotion of Alex Logsdon to head strength and conditioning coach. Logsdon has served as Presbyterian's assistant strength and conditioning coach for the past two years. Logsdon replaces Ryan Evans, who left PC to join the strength and conditioning coaching staff at SMU.
"Our teams and coaches know Alex; they trust him, and they respect the standard he sets," Nichols said. "Promoting him into this role ensures continuity and builds on the strong foundation he has created with the student-athletes and coaches. Â His ability to develop relationships, motivate, and maximize performance has elevated the strength and conditioning program here at PC. We are excited to see how he will continue to grow this program and to see the impact that he will have on our success."
In his role, Logsdon has had direct oversight over the strength and conditioning for ten teams, directly working with Presbyterian's football, acrobatics & tumbling, cheer, women's lacrosse, men's soccer, softball, men's and women's tennis, volleyball, and women's wrestling programs. He has managed the interns and student assistants in the strength and conditioning department as well. Â
Before coming to Presbyterian, he was the head strength and conditioning coach for one year at Culver-Stockton College in Canton, Missouri. Then, he spent one year as the assistant strength and conditioning coach at Wilkes University in Wilkes, Pennsylvania. While an undergraduate student at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, he was a strength and conditioning intern with the football program.Â
Logsdon graduated from Miami University with a bachelor's degree in sports leadership and management in 2020. In 2022, he earned a master's degree in human performance with a concentration in strength and conditioning from Liberty University. Logsdon holds the following certifications: NSCA – CSCA, NSCA – RSCC, and USAW – L1.
