LAST TIME OUT –  The Blue Hose beat the UNC Asheville Bulldogs, 71-70, this past Wednesday in the Templeton Center. Junior guard Carl Parrish scored a career-high 28 points while shooting a perfect 5-for-5 from beyond the three-point arc. Redshirt senior forward Jonah Pierce recorded another double-double with 24 points and 11 rebounds. Redshirt junior forward Jaylen Peterson rounded out Presbyterian's double-figure scorers with 11 points in the win.

INSIDE THE STAT SHEET – Pierce leads the Blue Hose in scoring at 15.6 points per game. Pierce leads the Big South and ranks 30th in the nation in rebounding at 9.3 boards per game. Pierce is 11th in the nation with a Big South leading nine double-doubles. Parrish is second on the team in scoring at 13.7 points per game while connecting on a team-high 47 three-point field goals this season. Ten PC players have knocked down at least one three-point field goal this season. Peterson is second on the team in rebounding at 7.4 rebounds per contest while averaging 9.7 points per game. Sophomore guard Triston Wilson ranks amongst the Big South leaders, averaging a team-leading 3.5 assists per game. Wilson has dished out at least five assists in six games this season. NCAA RANKINGS - Presbyterian ranks second in the Big South in scoring defense after limiting its opponents to 70.0 points per game. The Blue Hose are second in the Big South and 74th in the nation in rebounding margin, averaging 5.1 rebounds per game more than its opponents. Jonah Pierce ranks first in the Big South and 11th in the nation with nine double-doubles. Pierce also leads the Big South and ranks 30th in the nation, averaging 9.3 rebounds per game.
 
BLOCKED SHOTS - Chiakwelu recorded six blocked shots against Wofford (December 3), which is tied for the highest single-game total in Presbyterian's DI era. Peterson has also posted six blocked shots in a game in his career. Peterson accomplished that feat at Winthrop last season (January 29, 2025). 
 
DOUBLE DIGIT BOARDS – Pierce has grabbed double-figure rebounds 11 times this season. He corralled 13 rebounds against Navy (November 3) and ETSU (November 8). He recorded 14 rebounds at Sacramento State (November 16) and at Wofford (December 3).  In Presbyterian's win over Morehead State (December 6), he tallied 16 rebounds. At Manhattan (December 21), he grabbed 11 boards. In Presbyterian's last game in the win over Truett McConnell (December 28), he grabbed 11 rebounds. In the win over USC Upstate (January 3), he collected 12 rebounds. At Radford (January 7), Pierce recorded 11 rebounds. At Longwood (January 10), he grabbed 10 rebounds.  In the win over UNC Asheville (January 14), he recorded 11 rebounds.
 
PROGRAM RECORD FREE THROWS MADE AND ATTEMPTED - In Presbyterian's 86-77 win over USC Upstate (January 3), the Blue Hose set the program's DI era record with 31 made free throws and 43 free throw attempts. Wilson made a school DI era record 17 free throws in the game.
 
PC COACH QUINTON FERRELL - Quinton Ferrell is in his seventh season as the head coach of his alma mater, Presbyterian College. Ferrell, a former Blue Hose team captain and a 2007 PC graduate, is one of 51 coaches in the NCAA Division I ranks who are coaching their alma mater.
 
PRESBYTERIAN-GARDNER-WEBB SERIES – Saturday's game will be the 63^rd meeting between Presbyterian and Gardner-Webb, with Gardner-Webb holding a 37-25 series advantage. Gardner-Webb beat PC, 63-61, in their last matchup in Boiling Springs, North Carolina, on January 4, 2025. Presbyterian defeated Gardner-Webb, 68-57, in their last matchup, which came at PC on March 1, 2025. Former Blue Hose standout Kaleb Scott led the Blue Hose with 21 points while grabbing seven rebounds.

GARDNER-WEBB – The Runnin' Bulldogs enter the game after five straight losses. Gardner-Webb averages 68.9 points per game while their opponents average 88.6 points per game. Redshirt freshman guard Spence Sims leads Gardner-Webb in scoring at 11.1 points per game. Sophomore forward Jacob Hogarth averages 11.0 points while grabbing a team-leading 7.3 rebounds per game.
