LAST TIME OUT
Presbyterian opened conference action with a bang last Friday (Sept. 25), taking down Charleston Southern in four sets in Clinton. The Blue Hose dropped the first 11 points of the match and the opening set but battled back, claiming the ensuing three sets. The Blue Hose were dominant defensively at the net, finishing with a season-high 14 blocks. Ashley Dienes led PC with a career-high seven blocks, while Meredith Reisman pitched in six.

This is the first time that PC has won its Big South opener since the 2023 season.

RECORD SETTING START
Presbyterian opened the season with an undefeated 3-0 record, giving the team its best start in program history in the Division I era. PC's previous best start was in 2016, where the Blue Hose won two straight to open the year.

BLOCK PARTY
Defensively, the Presbyterian front line has been impressive all year. Entering the weekend, the Blue Hose lead the Big South in blocks (130.5 total, 2.33 per set) and fewest blocks allowed (1.61 per set). Meredith Reisman has been outstanding, leading the conference in both total blocks (62) and blocks per set (1.17). Courtney Williams has also been excellent, ranking seventh (0.80 blocks per set).

TRIPLE-DOUBLE QUEEN
Anisa Dorlouis has delivered all season for the Blue Hose, already producing two triple-doubles. She was dominant to open the year against Grambling State on Aug. 28, recording 33 assists, 19 digs, and 12 kills for PC. She logged another triple-double against Queens on Sept. 5, posting a career-high 44 assists to go along with 19 digs and 10 kills. She has ten double-doubles this year. On Sept. 8, she reached 1,000 career assists at PC, becoming the ninth player in the team's DI history to accomplish the feat.

BLUE HOSE BY THE NUMBERS
As a team, Presbyterian comes into the weekend second in the Big South in lowest opponent hitting percentage (.180).

Individually, Celimar Hoyos ranks third in the league in digs, averaging 4.25 per set. She is tied for second in the conference in total digs with 234. She earned Big South Libero of the Week honors on Sept. 8.

Anisa Dorlouis is second in the conference in total assists (411) and seventh in digs (3.23 per set). Courtney Williams has been impressive, ranking eighth in hitting percentage (.284). Finally, Emma McHatten ranks ninth in the league in kills (2.75 per set).

COACH MOSS
Maddie Moss enters her second season at the helm for the Blue Hose. In her first season in 2025, she led the Blue Hose to Big South victories over Gardner-Webb and UNC Asheville. Three Blue Hose players took home CSC Academic All-District honors under her direction.

SENIOR STRENGTH
The Blue Hose are powered this season by their eight seniors. Courtney Williams, Amaris Alvarez, Anisa Dorlouis, Julia Yurkovich, Brittney Daphnis, Celimar Hoyos, and Ashley Miller all return for their senior campaign. Meredith Reisman is the final senior, transferring in from Campbell.

INCOMING FRESHMEN
Presbyterian welcomes a robust freshman class to Moss' 2026 squad. Coach Moss brings in seven incoming freshmen to Clinton this season. Xalia King, Cassandra Verley, Ashley Dienes, Sophia Pheney, Reagan Hare, Kaylie Bourn, and Sophia Verdicchio round out the strong Blue Hose freshman class.

TWO TRANSFERS
Meredith Reisman and Keira O'Donnell also join the Blue Hose for the 2026 season. Reisman is a senior from Cincinnati, Ohio, transferring from Campbell. O'Donnell hails from Lemont, Illinois and is a sophomore, arriving to Clinton after spending last season at Southern Miss.

SCOUTING THE RUNNIN' BULLDOGS

- Head coach Heather Gearhart is in her fifth season at the helm for Winthrop.
