SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Presbyterian College women's golf team returns to action for the first time in October, competing in the Terrier Intercollegiate at The CC of Spartanburg on Monday-Tuesday, Oct. 12-13.
Sloane Spessard, Chloe Scofield, Addy Parker, Maddie Peake and Caitlyn Gaines will play for the Blue Hose this week.
This will be the 14th time that Presbyterian has teed it up at the Terrier Intercollegiate. PC's best result in the tournament is a third place finish in 2017. Last season, Sloane Spessard led the Blue Hose, placing 40th in Spartanburg.

LAST TIME OUT
Presbyterian finished its second tournament of the fall at the Elon Invitational on Sept. 13-14. Sloane Spessard delivered in all three rounds for the Blue Hose, leading the team with a T14 finish. Chloe Scofield was also terrific for PC, finishing in 24th place. In the final round, Addy Parker carded a new career-low, turning in a 73 to finish T32.
As a team, Presbyterian concluded the event in a tie for ninth, finishing with an overall score of 906.
FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Chloe Scofield earned PC's first weekly Big South honor in three years on Sept. 17, taking home the league's Freshman of the Week accolade. She was impressive at the Elon Invitational, coming in 24th place. She improved in every round in Burlington, finishing with a final round, 73. For the week at Elon, Scofield finished tied for second on the team in birdies with eight total.
BLUE HOSE ROSTER
Head coach Columb Knight enters his second full season as the head coach of the women's golf program. A 2024 graduate of PC, Knight achieved numerous milestones as a player, including ranking seventh in PC's Division I era with a career stroke average of 74.93.
This year's team is highlighted by four returners. Senior Maddie Peake, junior Sloane Spessard, and sophomores Addy Parker and Gabi Carles highlight the returners. Joining the Blue Hose this year are freshmen Maddie Fox and Chloe Scofield as well as sophomore transfer Caitlyn Gaines.

The Blue Hose continue their fall slate on Oct. 19-20, competing in the Edisto Intercollegiate, hosted by Charleston.
