CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College women's soccer team was vanquished by Charleston Southern on Friday night in a Big South Conference match that was bumped up 18 hours ahead of its original start time, dropping a 2-0 decision to the Bucs at Martin Stadium.
CSU put the ball in the net once in either half, taking the lead in the 42
nd minute and adding to it in the 63
rd.
The Blue Hose were not able to build a consistent offensive attack in the loss, ending the contest with one shot on goal by junior
Anna Hussey.
PC will attempt their first league victory on Wednesday the 14
th, visiting Winthrop for another 6:00 start in Rock Hill.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Buccaneers scattered nine corner kick chances throughout the game, paying off with a late first-half connection by their leading scorer Danika Birch.
- Katie Hoffman put the visitors up by a deuce roughly 17 minutes after halftime, capitalizing after the first try bounced down from the crossbar.
- That was enough for CSU to achieve their second conference win, overcoming four saves by freshman keeper
Alexa Garcia and shutting out the Blue Hose for the first time in five matches.
