LAST TIME OUT –  Presbyterian lost to Charleston Southern 84-67 on the road this past Thursday. Redshirt senior forward Jonah Pierce led all scorers with 23 points. Junior guard Carl Parrish scored 14 points.

Chiakwelu posted four blocked shots in the win over Charleston Southern (Jan. 23). Peterson has posted six blocked shots in a game twice in his career. Against Radford (Jan. 31), Peterson tallied six blocked shots. Last season, he accomplished that feat at Winthrop (Jan. 29, 2025). Against High Point (Jan. 29), Peterson recorded four blocks and Jonah Pierce collected three blocked shots.
 
PC COACH QUINTON FERRELL - Quinton Ferrell is in his seventh season as the head coach of his alma mater, Presbyterian College. Ferrell, a former Blue Hose team captain and a 2007 PC graduate, is one of 51 coaches in the NCAA Division I ranks who are coaching their alma mater.
 
DOUBLE DIGIT BOARDS – Pierce has grabbed double-figure rebounds 16 times this season. Peterson has tallied eight double-figure rebound games.
 
1,500 CAREER POINTS - With 15:35 on the first half clock, Pierce went over the 1,500th point plateau. Pierce has scored 1,519 points in his college career. Pierce is also closing in on 1,000 career rebounds as he enters the UNC Asheville game with 943 career rebounds.
 
PRESBYTERIAN-UNC ASHEVILLE SERIES – Saturday's game will be the 44th meeting between Presbyterian and UNC Asheville, with UNC Asheville leading the series 30-13. In their last matchup at UNC Asheville, the Blue Hose beat the Bulldogs on the road, 64-59, on February 26, 2025. Parrish scored 10 points off the bench in that win. Presbyterian beat UNC Asheville, 71-70, at home in their last meeting earlier this season, January 14, 2026. Parrish led the Blue Hose with 28 points. While Pierce recorded a double-double with 24 points and 11 rebounds.

UNC ASHEVILLE – The Bulldogs enter the game on a two-game winning streak with a home win over USC Upstate, 76-67, and a road win at Longwood, 79-74. Sophomore guard Kameron Taylor leads the Bulldogs in scoring, averaging 18.6 points per game.
