Presbyterian Blue Hose acrobatics & tumbling junior Sofia Cipriani earned a National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association (NCATA) national award when she garnered Honorable Mention Specialist of the Week honors.

Specialist of the Week is for athletes who highly contribute to one event. Cipriani, a base and tumbler, contributed as a base for all three Pyramid Heats in the Pyramid Event in Presbyterian's season-opening tri-meet against Missouri State and No. 5 Augustana last Friday.

The Miami, Florida, native competed in 11 heats and the Team Event in the tri-meet.. She was a part of the Inversion Pyramid team that tied the program's all-time high score of 9.70.
