Presbyterian Begins Season with Tri-Meet at Missouri State on Friday Evening

The Presbyterian College Blue Hose Acrobatics & Tumbling team begins its season with a tri-meet against the fifth-ranked Augustana Vikings and the host team, the Missouri State Bears, on Friday evening.

PRESBYTERIAN NOTABLES
  • Presbyterian coach Kara Christian is in her fourth season at the helm of the Blue Hose program.
  • The Blue Hose return 18 letterwinners from last year's team, which set the school record with seven wins. Presbyterian welcomes 10 newcomers to the 2026 roster.
  • Challenging Schedule – After Friday's tri-meet, the Blue Hose travel to Florida to play No. 11 Saint Leo (February 22). Then, PC faces Wingate in their home opening meet in the Templeton Center (March 1). Presbyterian hits the road for meets at No. 15 La Salle (March 11) and Frostburg State (March 14). The Blue Hose return to the Templeton Center to close out the regular season against No. 11 Saint Leo (March 19) and Bluefield State (March 28).
 
SCOUTING MISSOURI STATE
  • The Bears are in their second season in the program's history.
  • Missouri State began the season with a 267.325 to 242.880 loss to No. Oregon at home on February 8.
  • Last season, Presbyterian defeated Missouri State, 239.775 to 130.325 in the Templeton Center in PC's season-opening meet on February 9, 2025.
 
SCOUTING AUGUSTANA
  • Friday's meet will be Augustana's season opener.
  • Last season, Augusta reached the semifinals of the NCATA Championship before falling to eventual national champs Baylor.
  • Presbyterian has never faced Augustana.
 
ACROBATICS & TUMBLING MEET
A meet consists of six events: Compulsory, Acro, Pyramid, Toss, Tumbling, and Team Event. Teams compete in a predetermined rotation order throughout each event. Events are immediately scored by three judges.
