The Presbyterian College Blue Hose Acrobatics & Tumbling team faces the Bluefield State Big Blue on Senior Day this Saturday afternoon. After the meet, the Blue Hose will honor seniors Avery Michowski and Anna Ruiz.

PRESBYTERIAN NOTABLES

• In recognition of her performance in Presbyterian's home opening meet against Wingate on March 1, junior Iveren Asom was named NCATA Honorable Mention Specialist of the Week on March 4.
• For her performance in Presbyterian's season-opening tri-meet on February 13, junior Sofia Cipriani earned NCATA Honorable Mention Specialist of the Week honors on February 18.
• In the season-opening meet on February 13, Presbyterian earned a program all-time high score of 8.85 in the Synchronized Toss Heat while tying the program's all-time high score in the Inversion Pyramid Heat.
• In Presbyterian's meet at No. 11 Saint Leo on February 22, the Blue Hose posted program all-time high scores of 9.90 in the Pyramid Event Inversion and Synchronized Heats.
• In the Blue Hose home meet against Wingate, Presbyterian set season-high overall score, as well as scores in the Compulsory Acro Heat, Pyramid Event Synchronized and Open heats, Tumbling Event Duo Pass, and the Team Event.
• In the March 11 meet at No. 15 La Salle, the Blue Hose posted a season-high score of 9.55 in the Acro Event 7-Element Heat, and sophomore Mia Cantu posted a season-high score of 9.20 in the Tumbling Event Open Pass Heat.
• In the March 14 meet at Frostburg State, Presbyterian set season-high scores in the Compulsory Event with a score of 36.30 and season-high scores of 8.90 in the Acro Heat and 8.40 in the Tumbling Heat.   
• In the March 19 home meet against No. 11 Saint Leo, the Blue Hose won the Acro and Pyramid Events. In the Acro Event 7-Element Heat, the Blue Hose posted an all-time high score of 9.85.
• Presbyterian coach Kara Christian is in her fourth season at the helm of the Blue Hose program.

 
SCOUTING BLUEFIELD STATE

• Saturday's meet will be the final meet of the season for Bluefield State. This season, Bluefield State has competed against Wheeling University, Glenville State, West Liberty, and Wingate.
• This will be the third straight season that Presbyterian has played Bluefield State in the Templeton Center.  In their most recent matchup, Presbyterian topped Bluefield State, 239.775 to 152.350, on February 9, 2025.

ACROBATICS & TUMBLING MEET
A meet consists of six events: Compulsory, Acro, Pyramid, Toss, Tumbling, and Team Event. Teams compete in a predetermined rotation order throughout each event. Events are immediately scored by three judges.
