LAST TIME OUT –  After two made free throws from redshirt junior forward Jaylen Peterson with four seconds on the clock, the Presbyterian Blue Hose edged UNC Asheville, 58-57, on the road this past Saturday. Peterson scored a game-high 20 points while grabbing eight rebounds. Redshirt senior forward Jonah Pierce recorded a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Junior guard Carl Parrish tallied 13 points while dishing out five assists. Sophomore guard Triston Wilson scored 10 points and dished out six assists.

INSIDE THE STAT SHEET – Pierce leads the Blue Hose in scoring at 16.6 points per game while averaging 19.2 points per game in Big South play. Pierce leads the Big South and ranks 20^th in the nation in rebounding at 9.6 boards per game. Pierce is eighth in the nation with a Big South leading 14 double-doubles. Parrish is second on the team in scoring at 13.9 points per game and 15.1 in Big South Conference games while connecting on a team-high 63 three-point field goals this season. Ten PC players have knocked down at least one three-point field goal this season. Peterson is second on the team in rebounding at 7.1 rebounds per contest while averaging 10.5 points per game. BLOCKED SHOTS - Chiakwelu recorded six blocked shots against Wofford (Dec. 3), which is tied for the highest single-game total in Presbyterian's DI era. Chiakwelu posted four blocked shots in the win over Charleston Southern (Jan. 23). Peterson has posted six blocked shots in a game twice in his career. Against Radford (Jan. 31), Peterson tallied six blocked shots. Last season, he accomplished that feat at Winthrop (Jan. 29, 2025). Against High Point (Jan. 29), Peterson recorded four blocks and Jonah Pierce collected three blocked shots.
 
PC COACH QUINTON FERRELL - Quinton Ferrell is in his seventh season as the head coach of his alma mater, Presbyterian College. Ferrell, a former Blue Hose team captain and a 2007 PC graduate, is one of 51 coaches in the NCAA Division I ranks who are coaching their alma mater.
 
DOUBLE-DIGIT BOARDS – Pierce has grabbed double-figure rebounds 17 times this season. Peterson has tallied eight double-figure rebound games.
 
1,500 CAREER POINTS - With 15:35 on the first half clock, Pierce went over the 1,500th point plateau. Pierce has scored 1,531 points in his college career. Pierce is also closing in on 1,000 career rebounds as he enters the Longwood game with 953 career rebounds.
 
PRESBYTERIAN-LONGWOOD SERIES – Thursday's game will be the 25^th meeting between Presbyterian and Longwood, with the Blue Hose leading the series 14-10. Longwood defeated Presbyterian, 77-70, at home in their matchup earlier this season on January 10. Peterson scored 21 points in that game. Sophomore guard Josh Pickett scored 10 points. Sophomore guard Iverson King connected on four three-point field goals while scoring 12 points in the game. PC beat Longwood, 68-60, in their last meeting in the Templeton Center on January 2, 2025. Former Blue Hose standout Kaleb Scott led the Blue Hose with 16 points in the win.

LONGWOOD – Longwood averages 76.5 points per game while allowing its opponents to average 73 points per game. Redshirt senior forward Elijah Tucker leads the Lancers in scoring (12.3 ppg) and rebounding (6.9 rpg).
