PROMOTIONS
Wednesday night's game is National Girls and Women in Sports Day at the Templeton Center. Fans will receive free admission if they attend the Presbyterian football team Meet & Greet event with the coaching staff at Lakeside Country Club in Laurens, beginning at 5:00 p.m.



LAST TIME OUT
The Blue Hose dropped a road matchup at High Point 70-41 on Sunday afternoon at the Qubein Center.

 

The Blue Hose started fast defensively, but High Point shot 53.8 percent from the field in the second half to pull away. Aminata Tal led Presbyterian offensively for the game, scoring in double figures for the 10th time this season. On the road, she posted 14 points on 5-of-9 shooting. She also had success from the free throw line, making four of her six attempts. Ore Ogunwolere and Ja'Cia Cunningham added eight points apiece for PC.

 

As a team, the Blue Hose forced 25 High Point turnovers. Krystal Haddock powered PC on the glass, grabbing 12 rebounds. She has now logged double-digit rebounds in each of her last three games. 



BLUE HOSE BY THE NUMBERS
Senior Ja'Cia Cunningham powers Presbyterian offensively, leading the Blue Hose in scoring at 10.6 points per contest. She ranks in the top 15 of the Big South in scoring on the season. She also leads PC in field goals made (83). Fellow senior Aminata Tal has been hot for the Blue Hose on the offensive end, scoring in double figures in three of her last four games. She is Presbyterian's second-leading scorer entering Wednesday, averaging 8.9 points per game.


Junior Ore Ogunwolere has been productive on both ends for PC this year, leading the team in both assists (54) and steals (41). She sits in seventh in the conference and steals and ninth in assists. She also leads Presbyterian in minutes per game (29.5). Sophomore Daniella Velez is second on the team in assists (34) and steals (29). 


Freshman Allie Sykes paces the Blue Hose from the outside and the charity stripe this season. She has drilled 27 threes coming into Wednesday night. She has also made 18 of her 20 total free throw attempts for PC. 

Sophomore Krystal Haddock has been dominant on the glass for the Blue Hose, recording double-doubles in two of her last three games. She leads the team with 5.9 rebounds per game, good for 14th in the league. She is averaging 12.7 boards per contest in her last three games. She also leads the team in made free throws with 44 and is second in minutes per game (27.4).



CAREER-HIGHS
Several Blue Hose players have had career-highs in conference play this year. In PC's last game at High Point on Wednesday, Ore Ogunwolere and Aminata Tal both tied their career-highs in steals, posting six and five respectively. Daniella Velez tied her career-high with three made three-pointers at Winthrop on Jan. 28. Krystal Haddock had a career game against Charleston Southern on Jan. 23, recording a career-best 14 rebounds. In PC's 50-46 victory over Gardner-Webb on Jan. 21, Tal tied her career-high with nine made field goals. Ogunwolere recorded a career-high eight rebounds for the Blue Hose against the Runnin' Bulldogs. She also tied her career-high in assists with six. 



NEW PROGRAM RECORD
Krystal Haddock delivered a record-breaking performance against Charleston Southern on Jan. 23. She grabbed a single-game program record 12 offensive rebounds against the Buccaneers, shattering the previous record of nine. For her efforts, she was named PC Student-Athlete of the Week on Jan. 27.



SCOUTING THE SPARTANS
USC Upstate comes into Wednesday evening's clash with the Blue Hose having lost four straight. The Spartans fell in their most recent contest to Charleston Southern 85-62 at home on Friday. Cassie Gallagher leads Upstate offensively, ranking 4th in the conference in scoring at 15 points per game. She leads the conference in three-point shooting percentage, making 40.5 percent of her threes. As a team, the Spartans are the best rebounding team in the league, logging 40.8 rebounds per game. Aijah Palmore leads Upstate on the glass (7.6 rebounds per game), ranking second in the Big South. Head coach Jason Williams is in his fourth season with the Spartans.

 


PRESBYTERIAN – USC UPSTATE ALL-TIME SERIES
The Blue Hose hold a narrow edge in the head-to-head with the Spartans, leading the all-time series 28 to 27. The Blue Hose had won three straight meetings before USC Upstate defeated Presbyterian 58-38 in Spartanburg on Jan. 14.

 


BLUE HOSE ROSTER
Joining the Blue Hose this season are nine newcomers (four transfers and five freshmen). The transfers for Coach Sardin are Ore Ogunwolere (Union College), Ja'Cia Cunningham (Chicago State), and Krystal Haddock (Tennessee State).

Freshmen Aretha Linger, Yolanda Floyd, Allie Sykes, Samantha Mullock, and Amani Williams also join the Blue Hose. This is the most freshmen the Blue Hose have had on the roster since the 2022-23 season (also five).

 
The Blue Hose also return four from last year's roster. Seniors Shelby Fiddler and Aminata Tal lead the returners for PC. Sophomores Morgan Boyd and Daniella Velez also are back for the Blue Hose this season.
