KENNESAW, Ga. – Matija Samardzic and
David Mamalat recorded singles and doubles wins, but the Presbyterian Blue Hose (7-5) lost a tightly contested match, 4-3, to the Kennesaw State Owls (12-4) on the road on Monday afternoon.
DOUBLES
Presbyterian captured the doubles point for the seventh time this season. At number one doubles, Mamalat and Samardzic recorded their 10th win of the season with a 7-5 victory. Then, the doubles tandem of
Thomas Anderson and
Eduardo Valentin clinched the doubles point for the Blue Hose with a 7-6 win at number three doubles.
SINGLES
Kennesaw State won four of the six singles matches. Kennesaw State took a 2-1 lead with wins at numbers four and six singles. Mamalat tied the match at two with a 6-2, 6-3 victory at number two singles. The win was Mamalat's fourth straight and seventh of the season. Kennesaw State regained the lead with a win at number three singles. Samardzic tied the match at three with a 7-5, 6-2 victory on court one. Samardzic's win was his sixth straight and eighth of the season. Kennesaw State claimed the victory with a straight-sets win at number five singles.
