LAST TIME OUT –  The Blue Hose battled Winthrop down to the wire on the road before coming up short in a 74-70 loss last Saturday. Redshirt senior Jonah Pierce paced the Blue Hose with a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Junior guard Carl Parrish scored 19 points. Sophomore guard Triston Wilson scored 12 points to round out Presbyterian's double-figure scorers.

INSIDE THE STAT SHEET – Pierce leads the Blue Hose in scoring at 16.4 points per game while averaging 18.1 points per game in Big South play. Pierce leads the Big South and ranks 18th in the nation in rebounding at 9.6 boards per game. Pierce is ninth in the nation with a Big South leading 16 double-doubles. Parrish is second on the team in scoring at 14.4 points per game and 15.7 in Big South Conference games while connecting on a team-high 71 three-point field goals this season, which is the sixth-highest single-season total in PC's DI era. Ten PC players have knocked down at least one three-point field goal this season. Redshirt junior forward Jaylen Peterson is second on the team in rebounding at 7.4 rebounds per contest while averaging 10.6 points per game. Wilson is second in the Big South in assists, averaging a team-leading 3.6 assists per game, with 113 assists on the season. Wilson has dished out at least five assists in nine games this season. Recently, Wilson dished out his 100th assist of the season, becoming the seventh player in the school's D1 era to accomplish that feat. Wilson averages 11.1 points per game. Sophomore guard Josh Pickett has connected on 36 three-point field goals this season, which is the second-highest total on the team. Pierce, Peterson, and redshirt freshman forward Chidi Chiakwelu average around a blocked shot per game. Peterson is tied for 4th in the Big South, averaging 1.5 blocks per game. Pierce is sixth in the league, averaging 1.4 blocks per game. Chiakwelu is ninth in the Big South at 1.2 blocked shots per game. As a team, Presbyterian is shooting 47.3 percent from the field while averaging 71.8 points per game.
 
BIG SOUTH HONORS - Peterson was named Big South Defensive Player of the Year and is an Honorable Mention All-Big South selection. Pierce was named First Team All-Big South. He is the third player in the program's history, joining former Blue Hose standouts assistant coach Al'Lonzo Coleman (2012) and DeSean Murray (2016) as First Team All-Big South honorees. Parrish was named Honorable Mention All-Big South. Pickett earned Big South All-Academic team honors. A school-record three Presbyterian players (Pierce, Peterson, and Parrish) were named to an All-Big South team.
 
HOME SWEET HOME - The February 19th win over Longwood was Presbyterian's 10th home victory of the season, which is the second most wins in the Templeton Center in Presbyterian's DI era. In the 2018-19 season, Presbyterian won a school record 12 home games.
 
STATISTICAL RANKINGS - Presbyterian ranks second in the Big South and 59th in the nation in field goal percentage, shooting 47.3 percent from the field. The Blue Hose are third in the Big South and 36th in the NCAA, averaging 4.6 blocks per game. Presbyterian ranks second in the Big South in scoring defense after limiting its opponents to 71.7 points per game. The Blue Hose are third in the Big South and 72nd in the nation in rebounding margin, averaging 4.2 rebounds per game more than its opponents. 
 
BLOCKED SHOTS - Chiakwelu recorded six blocked shots against Wofford (Dec. 3), which is tied for the highest single-game total in Presbyterian's DI era. Chiakwelu posted four blocked shots in the win over Charleston Southern (Jan. 23). Peterson has posted six blocked shots in a game twice in his career. Against Radford (Jan. 31), Peterson tallied six blocked shots. Last season, he accomplished that feat at Winthrop (Jan. 29, 2025). Against High Point (Jan. 29), Peterson recorded four blocks and Jonah Pierce collected three blocked shots.
 
PC COACH QUINTON FERRELL - Quinton Ferrell is in his seventh season as the head coach of his alma mater, Presbyterian College. Ferrell, a former Blue Hose team captain and a 2007 PC graduate, is one of 51 coaches in the NCAA Division I ranks who are coaching their alma mater.
 
DOUBLE-DIGIT BOARDS – Pierce has grabbed double-figure rebounds 19 times this season. Peterson has tallied nine double-figure rebound games.
 
1,500 CAREER POINTS - With 15:35 on the first half clock, Pierce went over the 1,500th point plateau. Pierce has scored 1,591 points in his college career. Pierce is also closing in on 1,000 career rebounds as he enters the Radford game with 992 career rebounds.
 
PRESBYTERIAN-RADFORD SERIES – Friday's game will be the 38th meeting between Presbyterian and Radford, with Radford leading the series 26-11. This marks the second straight season that Presbyterian and Radford play in the Big South Tournament quarterfinals. Radford beat PC 74-69 in overtime in last season's Big South Tournament, March 7, 2025. This season, Radford won both regular-season matchups between the two teams.

RADFORD – Radford's Dennis Parker Jr., who leads the Big South in scoring at 18.6 points per game, was a Second Team All-Big South selection. Del Jones, who averages 17.1 points per game, was also a Second Team All-Big South honoree.
