LEXINGTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian Blue Hose (11-10) saw their season end with a 4-0 loss to top seed Gardner-Webb (16-5) in the semifinals of the Big South Tournament on Friday afternoon.
DOUBLES
Gardner-Webb won the tightly contested doubles point, with all three matches having a final score of 7-6, with wins on courts three and one. Gardner-Webb won at number three doubles, 7-6. Presbyterian's
Dario Navarro and
Daksh Prasad recorded a 7-6 win at number two doubles. Gardner-Webb captured the doubles point with a 7-6 at number one doubles.
SINGLES
Gardner-Webb picked up wins at number five, four, and two singles to win the match. Prasad, Navarro, and
Matija Samardzic had split their first two sets in their respective singles matches when their matches were stopped since Gardner-Webb had clinched the overall victory.
