CLINTON, S.C. -  Former Presbyterian Blue Hose standout Jonah Pierce has signed his first professional basketball contract with Saint-Thomas Basket Le Havre in Le Havre, France, after helping lead the Blue Hose to consecutive postseason tournament appearances and the program's first-ever Big South Tournament semifinal berth last season.

With Pierce signing a pro contract, ten former Blue Hose players have signed pro contracts during Coach Quinton Ferrell's seven seasons at the helm of the Blue Hose program.

Last season, Pierce was named First Team All-Big South, becoming the third Blue Hose player to earn those honors. He ranked among the Big South and the nation's leaders in rebounding, averaging 9.6 rebounds per game. Pierce also ranked eighth in the country with a Big South-leading 16 double-doubles. He averaged 16.4 points, 9.6 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks per game.

In his college career, he scored 1,612 points, grabbed 1,011 rebounds, and blocked 149 shots. Pierce finished his college career with his name all over Presbyterian's DI era records.
