Blue Hose Suffer Road Setback at VMI

LEXINGTON, Va.   – Freshman Mo Alahmad scored his first career goal, but the Presbyterian Blue Hose (0-2) came up short with a 3-1 loss to the VMI Keydets (2-1) on the road on Monday afternoon.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • In the 51st minute, Presbyterian Aiden Burke made a run down the right side of the box, and then he crossed the ball to Alahmad in front of the goal. Alahmad put the ball in the back of the net for his first career goal.
  • In the 52nd minute, VMI's Jack Miller scored, tying the score at one.
  • In the 58th minute, VMI's Miguel Osorto scored, giving VMI a 2-1 lead.
  • In the 86th minute, VMI's Jaime Loya scored the game's final goal.  
 
NOTABLES
  • Presbyterian finished the game with eight shots. Alahmad paced the Blue Hose with three shots. Burke and AJ Acree recorded two shots apiece. Braden Gritz tallied Presbyterian's other shot.
