CLINTON, S.C. – Presbyterian Blue Hose head men's basketball coach Quinton Ferrell announced the addition of Jermaine Blackmon to the coaching staff as assistant coach and director of player development.

"I'm very excited for Jermaine to come on staff with us!" Ferrell said. "He is a young coach who has worked extremely hard for this opportunity. I've watched him grow up in college basketball as a former player of mine. We experienced winning a championship together and playing in the NCAA tournament, which is the ultimate goal in this business. I look forward to him impacting our program at PC and helping our players become the best version of themselves. Jermaine has a great personality, an ability to connect with people, is a very hard worker, and someone who is extremely loyal. We are blessed to have him and his wife, Casey, a part of our Blue Hose family."

Blackmon joins the Blue Hose coaching staff after spending the last four years as a member of the Boston College men's basketball coaching staff. During his time at BC, Blackmon was the director of player development as well as the team's video coordinator.

Prior to his time at BC, Blackmon spent two seasons as the video coordinator at his alma mater, the College of Charleston. Blackmon earned a spot on the College of Charleston team as a walk-on during his junior and senior seasons after spending two years as a student manager.

As a senior at the College of Charleston in the 2018-19 season, Blackmon was a bench captain. He was a member of Charleston's 2018 CAA Championship and NCAA Tournament squad. 

The Charlotte, North Carolina native graduated from the College of Charleston with a bachelor's degree in business administration in 2019 and a master's degree in sports administration from Boston College in 2022.
