RICHMOND, Ky. – The Presbyterian College volleyball team (6-5) wraps up non-conference play this weekend at the Geri Polvino Invitational. The Blue Hose will play a doubleheader to start the event on Friday afternoon (Sept. 18), squaring off against Eastern Kentucky at 1:00 p.m. before taking on Appalachian State at 4:00 p.m.
PC will conclude play on Saturday morning (Sept. 19), facing Tennessee Tech at 11:00 a.m.

LAST TIME OUT
Presbyterian competed in the Queens Fall Classic last weekend in Charlotte, N.C. The Blue Hose picked up a four-set victory over Buffalo before falling to Chattanooga and Queens. Courtney Williams was named to the All-Tournament Team, as she led PC with 14 kills and five total blocks against the Bulls.
Emma McHatten posted two double-doubles for Presbyterian in Charlotte, highlighted by her 21-kill and 12-dig performance against the Mocs.
RECORD SETTING START
Presbyterian opened the season with an undefeated 3-0 record, giving the team its best start in program history in the Division I era. PC's previous best start was in 2016, where the Blue Hose won two straight to open the year. This is the fastest that PC has ever reached six victories in the team's DI era.
TRIPLE-DOUBLE MACHINE
Anisa Dorlouis has been on fire for the Blue Hose this season, already producing two triple-doubles. She delivered a dominant performance to open the year against Grambling State on Aug. 28, recording 33 assists, 19 digs, and 12 kills for PC. She logged another triple-double against Queens on Sept. 5, posting a career-high 44 assists to go along with 19 digs and 10 kills. She already has eight double-doubles this year. On Sept. 8, she reached 1,000 career assists at PC, becoming the ninth player in the team's DI history to accomplish the feat.
BLOCK PARTY
The Presbyterian front line has been impressive all year in 2026. Entering the weekend, the Blue Hose leads the Big South in blocks (2.18 per set) and are tied for first in fewest blocks allowed (1.61 per set). Meredith Reisman has been excellent for PC, ranking third in the league in blocks (1.03 per set). Courtney Williams and Brittney Daphnis have also been productive, ranking eighth and tenth respectively.
BLUE HOSE BY THE NUMBERS
Not just the Big South leader in blocks, Presbyterian spearheads the conference in digs (15.80 per set) and is second in lowest opponent hitting percentage (.171).
Individually, Celimar Hoyos leads the league in digs, averaging 4.83 per set. She ranks seventh in the nation in digs overall (193) and 12th in digs per set. She has been awesome all season, earning Big South Libero of the Week honors on Sept. 8.
Anisa Dorlouis ranks fourth in the league in assists at 7.88 per set and is eighth in digs (3.51 per set). Williams has been outstanding offensively, ranking ninth in the Big South in hitting percentage (.341). McHatten has also been terrific, sitting in eighth in the league in kills (3.00 per set).
COACH MOSS
Maddie Moss enters her second season at the helm for the Blue Hose. In her first season in 2025, she led the Blue Hose to Big South victories over Gardner-Webb and UNC Asheville. Three Blue Hose players took home CSC Academic All-District honors under her direction.
SENIOR STRENGTH
The Blue Hose are powered this season by their eight seniors. Courtney Williams, Amaris Alvarez, Anisa Dorlouis, Julia Yurkovich, Brittney Daphnis, Celimar Hoyos, and Ashley Miller all return for their senior campaign. Meredith Reisman is the final senior, transferring in from Campbell.
INCOMING FRESHMEN
Presbyterian welcomes a robust freshman class to Moss' 2026 squad. Coach Moss brings in seven incoming freshmen to Clinton this season. Xalia King, Cassandra Verley, Ashley Dienes, Sophia Pheney, Reagan Hare, Kaylie Bourn, and Sophia Verdicchio round out the strong Blue Hose freshman class.
TWO TRANSFERS
Meredith Reisman and Keira O'Donnell also join the Blue Hose for the 2026 season. Reisman is a senior from Cincinnati, Ohio, transferring from Campbell. O'Donnell hails from Lemont, Illinois and is a sophomore, arriving to Clinton after spending last season at Southern Miss.
SCOUTING THE COLONELS
- This will be the first-ever meeting between the two teams.
- The Colonels have gotten off to an excellent start this year, boasting a 7-2 overall record. Eastern Kentucky holds wins over USF, Utah State, Radford, JMU, and Marshall. The Colonels have won three of four coming into the matchup, defeating the Thundering Herd on Tuesday.
- Head coach Johnna Bazzani leads the Colonels in her 8th season.
SCOUTING THE MOUNTAINEERS
- App State has won the lone matchup in PC's DI era. The Mountaineers defeated PC in 2022 in Boone.
- App State owns a 5-6 record to begin the season. The Mountaineers dropped their most recent match at NC State on Tuesday in three sets but won three of their last four prior to that defeat.
- Head coach Chad Sutton is in his second season at the helm at Appalachian State.
SCOUTING THE GOLDEN EAGLES
- This will be the first-ever matchup between the two programs in PC's DI era.
- The Golden Eagles began the month 3-0, picking up wins over Austin Peay, Green Bay, and Tennessee State. However, Tennessee Tech has dropped its most recent three matches.
- Head coach Jeannette Phillips leads the Golden Eagles in her ninth season.
