GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Presbyterian College volleyball team (3-1) is back on the road this weekend, competing in the Furman Invitational at Timmons Arena. PC opens the slate on Thursday night (Sept. 3), facing Furman at 6:00 p.m. on ESPN+.
The Blue Hose play again on Friday afternoon (Sept. 4), taking on North Carolina A&T at 3:00 p.m. before finishing out the weekend on Saturday morning (Sept. 5) against Queens at 11:00 a.m.

LAST TIME OUT
Presbyterian faced Wofford on the road on Tuesday night to open September, falling 3-1. The Blue Hose started strong, recording 19 kills to take a dramatic opening set 27-25. However, Wofford took the ensuing three sets to clinch the win.
Courtney Williams powered the Blue Hose offensively with 10 kills. Anisa Dorlouis delivered another strong performance, registering a double-double. She posted a season-high 34 assists and 13 digs to secure her second double-double of the year.
Defensively, Celimar Hoyos paced PC with 23 digs. On the front line, Meredith Reisman and Ashley Miller recorded four blocks apiece.
RECORD SETTING START
Presbyterian opened the season with an undefeated 3-0 record, giving the team its best start in program history in the Division I era. PC's previous best start was in 2016, where the Blue Hose won two straight to open the year.
TRIPLE-DOUBLE
Anisa Dorlouis delivered a dominant performance to open the year against Grambling State on Aug. 28. She recorded her first career triple-double, posting 33 assists, 19 digs, and 12 kills for PC. She registered Presbyterian's first triple-double since Anna Baranski had one at UNC Asheville on Nov. 2, 2024.
BLUE HOSE BY THE NUMBERS
So far this season, Presbyterian leads the Big South in lowest opponent hitting percentage (.137), blocks (2.53 per set), fewest blocks allowed (1.20 per set), and digs (16.47 per set).
As a team, the Blue Hose are second in hitting percentage (.234) and points (16.67 per set).
Individually, Celimar Hoyos leads the conference in digs, averaging 5.47 per set. Anisa Dorlouis is second in the league in hitting percentage at .417 percent. She also ranks fourth in assists at 7.80 per set.
Meredith Reisman powers the PC defense, ranking third in the Big South in blocks, averaging 1.07 per set.
COACH MOSS
Maddie Moss enters her second season at the helm for the Blue Hose. In her first season in 2025, she led the Blue Hose to Big South victories over Gardner-Webb and UNC Asheville. Three Blue Hose players took home CSC Academic All-District honors under her direction.
SENIOR STRENGTH
The Blue Hose are powered this season by their eight seniors. Courtney Williams, Amaris Alvarez, Anisa Dorlouis, Julia Yurkovich, Brittney Daphnis, Celimar Hoyos, and Ashley Miller all return for their senior campaign. Meredith Reisman is the final senior, transferring in from Campbell.
Yurkovich was named to the Big South All-Academic Team, while Yurkovich and Hoyos earned spots on the CSC Academic All-District Team.
INCOMING FRESHMEN
Presbyterian welcomes a robust freshman class to Moss' 2026 squad. Coach Moss brings in seven incoming freshmen to Clinton this season. Xalia King, Cassandra Verley, Ashley Dienes, Sophia Pheney, Reagan Hare, Kaylie Bourn, and Sophia Verdicchio round out the strong Blue Hose freshman class.
TWO TRANSFERS
Meredith Reisman and Keira O'Donnell also join the Blue Hose for the 2026 season. Reisman is a senior from Cincinnati, Ohio, transferring from Campbell. O'Donnell hails from Lemont, Illinois and is a sophomore, arriving to Clinton after spending last season at Southern Miss.
SCOUTING THE PALADINS
- This will be the 22nd career meeting between the two teams. Furman has won 18 of the previous 21 matchups, including all 13 in the DI era. PC last defeated the Paladins in 1990.
- Furman owns a 1-2 record to start the year. The Paladins took down George Washington in five sets before dropping back-to-back matches in four sets against North Florida and Georgia.
- Emily Navarro leads the Furman offense with 75 assists, while Kennedy Seekford powers the defense with 50 digs.
- Head coach Michelle Young leads Furman in her 27th season.
SCOUTING THE AGGIES
- Presbyterian leads the all-time series with North Carolina A&T, holding a 2-1 record. The Aggies won the most recent meeting in 2021.
- North Carolina A&T is 2-1 to open the 2026 season. The Aggies picked up wins over Appalachian State and Bryant before falling to Charlotte.
- Setter Kristen Kemper was named CAA Rookie of the Week on Monday.
- Head coach Hal Clifton is in his 16th season at the helm.
SCOUTING THE ROYALS
- This will be the second ever matchup between the two programs. Queens won the lone meeting in Spartanburg in 2024.
- Queens suffered defeats in both of its matches on opening weekend. The Royals fell to Duke and Coastal Carolina in Conway, S.C.
- Elizabeth Layson paces Queens with 18 kills, while Tilley Collins has posted 22 digs.
- Head coach Matt Stolz enters his second season with the Royals.
