The Presbyterian College men's and women's cross country teams begin their 2026 season on Friday evening at the Bruins XC Night Classic in Greenville, S.C. The women's 4K starts at 8:15 p.m. on Friday, while the men's 6K begins at 8:45 p.m. Both races are scheduled to take place at BJU Athletic Fields.

About the Blue Hose

• Presbyterian coach Bus Baker is in his first cross country season as the Blue Hose's head coach after taking over the reins of the program last November.
• Presbyterian's women's team returns five letterwinners while welcoming two newcomers to the 2026 roster.
• The men's team has 11returning letterwinners while adding four newcomers. 

Notables

• Jude Rutherford set the men's program record for a 6K with a time of 19:53.6 last season. Noah Kaufman, Jacob Smith and Sam Gearheart moved into the program's all-time Top 10 fastest times in the 6K with their performances last season.
• Lillian Anderson set the women's program's record in the 4K with a time of 15:37.8 last season. Katie Stevenson, Abby Donaldson, and Alexis Yeung moved into the women's program's all-time Top 10 fastest times in the 4K with their performances last season.
• This marks the second straight season and only the second time since 2015 that the two teams have run these respective distances.
