Threw seven complete games out of 14 starts to lead the Big South Conference in that category... Was named The Crons Brand Pitcher of the Week on March 4 for a complete-game, 13-strikeout win over High Point in which he allowed one run and issued zero walks... Allowed only one run in seven innings to grab a win over Charleston Southern (4/20)... Struck out at least three batters in eight straight appearances... Tallied three assists against Wofford (2/26).
2011: Started 13 games for the Blue Hose, second-most on the squad, going 5-7... Ranked second on the team in wins, with five and second in strikeouts, with 39... Held opposing batters to a .297 average… Picked up first win in his first collegiate start against Navy on 2/19, allowing four runs (two earned) in five innings of work... Struck out five batters in back-to-back games (3/4 vs. VCU and 3/12 vs. NC Central)... Picked up wins in four out of his first five collegiate appearances... Earned a win over Davidson on May 3, allowing six hits and three runs in five and one-third innings while striking out four… Received his first collegiate save against UNC Asheville on 5/20, holding the Bulldogs to one hit in one and one-third innings.
High School: Pitched for two years at Dreher High School… Struck out 24 in 29.1 innings pitched in 2010, accumulating a 3.23 ERA and limiting opposing batters to a .174 average… Worked 41 innings in 2009, striking out 41 and turning in a 3.07 ERA… Also pitched for American Legion Post 6, where he posted a 2.45 ERA in 44 innings, striking out 45 and holding opponents’ batting average to .216.
