Jeff Tatum enter his first year as a volunteer assistant coach. 

Tatum takes over as volunteer assistant coach, returning to Presbyterian College after a three-year playing career as a Blue Hose.

"I'm excited to be back at my alma mater," Tatum said. "I'm looking forward to a great season and being able to compete for a Big South Conference championship."

Tatum started 16 games as a senior in 2010, playing in 35 on the year and 57 in his Blue Hose career. Tatum emerged as a crucial piece during the team's closing season run in his final season, helping PC to a win over Winthrop and stealing a base in three straight games down the stretch.

Honing his skills as a coach, Tatum served as an instructor at camps at such high-level baseball programs as Clemson, Georgia, Wofford and Virginia.

Tatum will oversee the team's catchers. He graduated from PC in 2010 with a bachelor's degree in history.
