Eric Miller

Eric Miller enters his second season with Presbyterian College football, moving to the offensive side after spending his first season assisting the defense and the defensive line.

Miller helped PC to a 6-5 record, the program’s first winning season since 2007 and its first-ever in the Big South. The defense shut down foes and led to Blue Hose ranked wins over No. 12 Furman and No. 22 Charleston Southern and the team's two road wins stand as the most since three in 2007.

Against FCS competition, PC finished with a 5-2 record and its only two losses came to FCS playoff teams Coastal Carolina and Liberty. PC's defense set new school Division I records in nearly every category, including total offense yards (4163), opponent points scored (270), opponent touchdowns (36) and opponent total offense per game (378.5 yards). Those records come in a season that saw the Blue Hose play three FBS teams and against FCS competition, PC allowed only 15.9 points and 310.0 total offense yards per game. The Blue Hose also finished the season with the nation's second-ranked red zone defense.

Blue Hose defensive players earned four weekly awards in 2015, including the entire defense recieving the Big South Defensive Player of the Week award for PC's win over Western Carolina. Defensive back Ed Britt and linebacker Donelle Williams also earned First Team All-Big South honors in 2015 as well.

Miller will join the Blue Hose after three seasons as an assistant at Tucker High School in Tucker, Ga., where he worked with the defensive backs, wide receivers and special teams during his tenure. He helped the Tigers to a cumulative 39-4 record, two undefeated regular seasons, one Georgia state championship and a trip to the state final in December. Tucker also boasted a state-leading 32 interceptions and a DeKalb County-leading 39 turnovers in 2013.

Miller played wide receiver at Princeton and Georgia State before graduating from LaGrange College in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in business management. The Blue Hose assistant joined LaGrange while returning home to help his family and helped the Panthers to a conference championship and its first and only playoff berth.
