Larry Thomas made an impression in his two years with the Blue Hose football program. In his two seasons on the gridiron with the Blue Hose, Thomas finished with 47 catches for 589 yards. Thomas had seven touchdown catches in his career. He received his final honor posthumously in late August when he was named to the 2007-08 Big South Conference Presidential Honor Roll.
