Maximiliano Rocco joins the Presbyterian Blue Hose men’s soccer coaching staff as the goalkeeper coach and video analyst after spending the last year as soccer director and head varsity boys’ soccer coach at Trinity Collegiate High School in Florence, South Carolina and as a Goalkeeper coach at SC United Heat while currently working full time at SC United.
Since 2018, Rocco has coached at the youth and professional levels. In 2022, he was the goalkeeper coach and assistant coach with Tormenta FC for the men’s USL League 2 team and the women’s UWSL team where they won the national championship. Prior to that, he spent several years on the coaching staff of the Key Biscayne Soccer Club including serving as the head coach of the Club’s U15 Elite and Premier teams and the U11 United Team.
During his collegiate career, he earned All-Region honors as well as ranking among the nation’s statistical leaders while playing at Francis Marion from 2019-20. He holds the Francis Marion record for shutouts while helping the team win the PBC Championship in 2019 and finishing runner-up in 2020 while qualifying for the NCAA Tournament. In 2021, he finished third in the nation in save percentage at Gannon University while helping the team finish runner-up in the PSAC and qualify for the NCAA Tournament. He played his first two college seasons at ASA College in Miami, Florida.
He also has played for the South Carolina Heat, Tormenta FC, Miami United, and KSA Storm in the NPSL. Prior to his college career, he played for Juventud De Pergamino in the Federal B League in Argentina for three seasons, Atlético de Rafaela U - 21 and San Martin de San Juan U - 21.
The Buenos Aires, Argentina native graduated from Francis Marion with a degree in Business Administration in 2021. He holds the USSF Coaching “C” License.
