Kate Dempsey enters her second year as an assistant with the Blue Hose. She joined PC following a professional career in Europe.

In her first year as an assistant, Dempsey helped the team to a 9-20 overall record and 5-11 mark in Big South Conference play. Both records stand as Division I and Big South-era bests.

Dempsey played collegiately for four years at Wofford.  She played both the power forward and center positions averaging 5.5 points per game and 4.3 blocks per game in her final season.  After her collegiate career, Dempsey played one season professionally for Santarém Basket Clube of Portugal.

The Burlington, N.C. native graduated from Wofford in 2009.  Daughter of Mike Dempey and has a brother Patrick, as well as two dogs (Sugar and Wilson).
