Kiana "Lucky" Rudd recently finished her first season with the Presbyterian College women's basketball program. She joined the Blue Hose staff for the 2020-21 season and served as the director of basketball operations. Following the 2020-21 campaign, Rudd was promoted to her current role of assistant coach.
Rudd came to PC having recently concluded her playing career at West Virginia University. She appeared in 51 games, starting 27, over two seasons with the Mountaineers, averaging 4.8 points per contest. Following her junior season, she was an Academic All-Big 12 First Team selection. Prior to her time in Morgantown, Rudd spent two seasons at NC State, where she played in 35 games for the Wolfpack.
A native of Kernersville, N.C., Rudd most recently worked at North Point Academy in Winston-Salem, N.C., as a teacher, working with and developing lessons plans for young children. She also brought a vast experience of working with young basketball players of all ages and skill levels. For three summers, she worked as a coach and instructor at the Mountaineer Women's Basketball Camp in Morgantown, where she instructed and coached the fundamentals of the game to children ranging from ages 4-14. Rudd has also worked as a player development specialist, working with young players in the Winston-Salem area.
Rudd earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Multidisciplinary Studies from West Virginia University in May of 2020.
