Sarah Beth Anderson

Sarah Beth Anderson begins her third year as an assistant coach with the Presbyterian College women's soccer program in 2014.

Anderson helped PC to nine wins in 2013, the most since the 2003 season. A program-record six came in Big South Conference play and helped secure the team's first-ever berth in the Big South Conference Championship tournament. Anderson, who works with the team's goalkeepers, guided the squad to six shutouts and 21 goals allowed, the best mark in that category since the 2007 season. A record five players also earned Big South Conference accolades in 2013, including players on the league's First Team, Second Team, All-Freshman and All-Academic squads.

Under Anderson's guidance, the Blue Hose won a then-program-high three Big South Conference matches over VMI, Charleston Southern and Gardner-Webb while delivering new highs in team goals and assists since joining the Big South. She also worked with the team's goalkeepers, helping PC earn a late-season shutout over Gardner-Webb.

Anderson joins the PC staff after four record-setting seasons as the team's goalkeeper from 2008 to 2011. The former Blue Hose holds the program's career saves record with 296 and owns every career goalkeeping record in the team's Division I era, including shutouts (nine), save percentage (.798) and goals against average (1.81). Her 17 saves against Navy in 2010 mark a Division I-era best as well.

The 2010 season saw her post five shutouts in 12 games and average eight saves per game, ranking fifth in Big South Conference history.

In addition to working as a PC soccer camp counselor for the past three years, Anderson served as head girls' soccer coach at Hillcrest Middle School in Simpsonville from January to May. Anderson led the squad to a perfect 12-0 regular season and its first-ever appearance in the postseason semifinals. She has also worked as a camp counselor for BlazeSports in Decatur, Ga.

Anderson graduated from PC in 2012 with a bachelor's degree in English.
