Also earned a win against Winthrop... Led PC with an .855 save percentage.
2012: Saw action in 11 matches, starting five… Made her first appearance in the season opener against Francis Marion (8/21) and made her first start against Furman (9/2), where she made a season-high 10 saves… Tallied five saves in her first career win, a 4-1 victory over VMI (9/29)… In her final appearance of the season, stopped all five shots for a 3-0 shutout over Gardner-Webb (10/20), her career first.
High School: Fontenot played volleyball for James Bowie High School and helped track to a district championship as a sophomore before playing varsity soccer in 2010... Earned a slew of honors as a senior, including 2012 Best Defensive Player, Most Valuable Player, First Team All-Academic, First Team All-District and 2012 Who's Who honors... Guided the team to a third-place state finish in 2011 and an undefeated district record... Earned Rookie of the Year honors for the 5-A District in 2011 and nabbed First Team All-District and First Team All-Academic laurels in 2011...
